9/25/20 Squeaky PMPS 326. (Today's AMPS 419, +6 = 337)

Probably a bounce, but hard to tell without overnight tests. A +2 before bed can help you to know if it will be an active cycle. :bighug:
Thanks, I give him his shot at 11 and then go to bed. Could you rephrase your answer in terms of hours after shot? Thanks.

Also, what is an "active cycle" and how does it differ from an "inactive cycle"? Need to learn. :)

I need to read that post about the bounces, haven't had time or focus.

Thank you sooooo much. HEY SOMETHING GREAT TO REPORT!!!!!! SOLID POOP ** IN THE BOX *** - I think first time for 6 months. Wow am I happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:):bighug::cat::cat::cool::D:D:D:D:D:joyful::joyful::joyful::joyful::joyful::kiss::smuggrin::smuggrin::smuggrin::woot::woot::woot::woot::bighug::bighug::):):):)

OH that's wonderful news :joyful::joyful::joyful::joyful::joyful::joyful:. I'm so happy for you and Squeaky his number may get better now with the solid poop.

Hi! +2 would be 2 hours after the injection. If the number is the same or lower than your preshot, you could have an active cycle - meaning, you might want to set an alarm to test again during the night, if you can.

just as an example: if your PMPS is 385 and your +2 is 260, that is a pretty good drop in levels and quite early in the cycle. It’s possible (but not always) that kitty could continue to go lower and you may want to monitor more closely. Of course, there is a long way to go from 385 to 50, but kitties can bounce from numbers that are not necessarily’low’, but lower than they are used to, or fast drops.

Would it be possible to change your shooting times to 9 and 9? That way you could get that +2 before bed. It's probably a better indicator of what will happen in the night cycle, than the +8 or +9 you have been getting. Those tests are still good at giving us a clue what happened, but if you see that lower +2, you could leave out extra food to make sure he stays safe overnight.

Well I wish it were possible. Life isn't easy for me right now and these times seem to be working. I'm trying to get the +2 readings in the morning cycle, is that so different from the evening cycle?

BTW I am always leaving out food for Squeaky, except for the 2 hour fast before the PSBG tests.

Thanks for your help.

He's not been feeling so great this afternoon and evening. That's always hard for me. I am praying that we will have, say, a whole week that is good sometime.

Thanks so much, slow reply due to overwhelm. So is there a sense of how big a drop warrants continued testing? Maybe 100 points?

And what if .... you have to go out for the day.....
