LB had a 423 AMPS—we increased his dose by .25U and have given that dose twice. Now, his PMPS is 245! Am I still safe to give him the larger dose of 2.25U?

Yes, 245 is a safe number to shoot. Can you do a +2 as well tonight?

Yes, two yellows today! Do I need to monitor more than +2 tonight? Hoping it doesn’t jump, but I’ll try not to get discouraged.Yay, a yellow!!
Do keep an eye on him since that's much lower than he's used to. We don't want to see him dipping a lot by +2. But don't be discouraged if it jumps up again either.

If the +2 is noticeably lower yes, you'll want to keep an eye out! +2 is an early indication of what kind of cycle it will be. If it's lower that's an indication of an active cycle.
It's payback for all the times they follow us to the bathroom!!

While I was giving him his inhaler I noticed that I must have bruised his outer right ear from all of my pokes.

I am doing both. He doesn’t let me hold the ear with the cotton round for long because he is ready to leave my lap after the poke. He also knows he gets treats after! I put the neosporin on each time. Just a thin layer that he sometimes scratches right off. I’m afraid of moving to other spots around the ear for fear of hitting the big vein.

Ahaha he's on a mission! I get that. I'd cuddle with Panic while I held her ear a few seconds, but she liked her cuddles and didn't care whether she got a treat or not after. 
You can do all along the outside of the ear, not just the sweet spot - upper half bleeds better I find.

He did eat some of his leftover dinner about an hour after his shot. Don’t know if that makes a difference.

I have been trying to get a sample to test for the past 10 minutes. He keeps jumping every time I get near him with the lancet in anticipation. Should I stop and just go to bed since he’s stressed out or wait a few minutes and try again?
