I am so so sorry - thoughts are with you and your sweet boy Brady - it is so hard right now but you did the right thing to save him from pain.
Brady knew that you loved him so much and you will never be completely without him as our kitties leave their paw prints on our hearts and in our memories. No matter how much it hurts when they have to leave us they are worth it for every second we had with them.

I hesitate to click "like" to this post Pat. But then I know that Brady's release is the kindest gentlest the most loving act you could do for him. My heart breaks for you and all of your house hold.

There really needs to be a "love" added to the "like" button because I would hit it for all the people giving me support thru all of this right now....Thank you Jeanne, I will never ever ever forget you.......
 
I am so very sorry to hear about your precious Brady, my heart breaks for you, such a handsome boy. You are right all these diseases our kitties get sucks!

I cant thank all of the people who have cared and got us through some of the tough times with this disease. Right now I dont even know what to say to any of you. My mind is so absent right now.....I know I loved my Brady more than anything, I am going to miss his so much....I only wish and pray that all of you with diabetic cats can get through the tough times and enjoy the time you have with your precious kitties. This disease sucks in so many ways and the toll it takes on us humans and our loved pets. I just knew there was more to it with Brady than just the diabetes, I could just tell. Everyone again thank you so much.....

I am so sorry for losing Brady. The pain is unbearable, but memories of joy, love and laughters with him will always linger.

—- sorry to ask, since Buddy was dx with liver cancer- do you know if his blood work for his liver values were not normal( LIKE ALP, ALT, AST).. Coz Another member posted a video and he mentioned that blood test is a waste of money, it shows normal but not the x ray to his baby fur that got a stomach cancer.
—thank you and please take care of yourself- Little Brady is now with other fur angels...

Hello everyone....

We really need some help, our cat Brady is not eating...He just had blood work done and his white count is a little low, my vet actually called me from home to discuss, she feels it is pancreatits...Still waiting on pancreatitis results, should be another day.....We are struggling right now and dont know what to do...I havent really been able to give Brady insulin but a few times in the last couple days because of not eating. Right now his sugar is 418 on the alpha trac, I was able to give him a reduced dose of 1.5 today at noon. I cant get him to eat and not sure what to do about giving him insulin without eating.

Ketones are negative
White blood count is low
Still waiting on pancreatitis results
All other blood work is normal

Tried baby food, tried boiled chicken, tried dry food, tried all kinds of food and he isnt eating.

Brady is on prozinc insulin

Any thoughs or opinion on any of this would be helpful....Hoping its not cancer, but I guess low white blood count, that could be a possibility.

Sorry I am just getting back to you, its been kinda rough.....Brady's lymphocytes were very low as well as his total WBC, his panc test was high....He has had several blood work's completed in the 6 months and thats the first time his lymphocytes and WBC were low. Now, I have no idea what made the emergency vet do an xray on Brady, but thats what was the first indicator he had a tumor. They werent sure just with the xray alone, an ultrasound was done and confirmed he had a lot going on in his little body. The vet said it was more than likely the tumor/tumors that caused his diabetes. Really not sure if it was liver cancer, I know the tumors were in the area of the liver and he had some things going on with his spleen.....It was tough to follow along when you get news like that. I hope that answers your question, if not let me know
