Well, my little man is up and wandering around, chirping, eating and acting totally normal. Usually within the first 24 hours of AventiClav he turns around FAST, thank goodness. Whatever was bothering him yesterday is getting dealt with. I checked his BG at +9.25 last night and he was at 83. A nice start today, as well. No more vomiting or weird upper respiratory signs.

I feel comfortable leaving him with the autofeeder (LC with a little MC each section to keep him from going too low) today since he's going up to snack on his own. His appetite has been "off" for a little while but he's also a finicky eater so sometimes it's hard to tell when something is up. I'm guessing he was brewing whatever is bothering him for a little while now. We'll see if his appetite picks up.

Happy surfing, all you kitties out there! And thanks again to everyone for your advice around my tricky little feline.

Beautiful numbers this morning! Glad to hear he's feeling so much better!

Nice plan for the auto-feeder today...let's hope he finds it appealing :)

Have a great day Sam!

Well, I may have been prematurely optimistic. He ate NOTHING all day. Thanks goodness his BG was still ok when I got home. I am assuming he probably would not be in as good a shape if he had dropped too low during the day. But it's still a concern...

Thanks for tagging the post from yesterday, Lyla. I am pretty fuzzy in the morning trying to do Milo and deal with the other pets, get ready for work etc. I'll be feeding and shooting within 20 mins so hopefully he eats.

Syringe fed 1 1/2T MC/water/plain yogurt (for probiotics due to antibiotics) at +4. He was not happy. Still hanging out with us and not hiding so that's a positive. Let's hope the antibiotics kick in better by tomorrow. He sees the vet on Friday.

You have so much on your plate. I'm so sorry he's still not eating on his own, but a good sign he isn't hiding. :( Sending lots of healing vines to Milo.
