Based on that thread, I might lean toward a half dose at this point. Don't wait any longer...she's dropping, but with a half dose, and food, she may stabilize.

You'll be up for a while checking on her...though. If you're up for that?

I was about to type something, but Susanne beat me to it. You are now at the point where her numbers will drop without food. If you feed her, she will rise up until onset. But the decision has to be based on your ability to monitor. And remember that a delay can act a bit like a reduction, especially if you delay too long.

And by the way, with the depot, the action will likely be the same for the first part of the cycle as if you had shot full dose.

actually this was the post I was thinking of when I mentioned about continuing to stall without food! I remembered seeing this, and actually it was why I fed Butters some LC @ +10. It didn't help keep her up.

I'm feeling like I should shoot a reduced dose and take a .125 reduction going forward...that's what I'm thinking.

I agree with proceeding with your plan to shoot a reduced dose, however I'm not sure about a partial reduction. Let's see what she does tonight with this half dose - and then decide in the morning what you're comfortable with.

Do you have plenty of strips, MC/HC food and karo syrup on hand. Coffee and M&M's or snacks for mama bean?

Yes, I will do what I need to do. I mentioned earlier on that I knew she'd be dropping the longer I stall...I remembered reading what you wrote just not where I saw it.

I shot the reduced dose and will monitor. But it sounds like I should hold off on shaving her dose. I'll just see where we are at.
Yesterday I had to delay by an hour and then shot the full dose. That delay didn't seem to do much to her numbers.

I'm not seeing why you'd delay yesterday? She was at 140, right? Am I misreading something? Highly likely, it's late and my day is coming to a rapid close...

Delaying and then shooting a full dose isn't likely to change the subsequent numbers much - Lantus usually kicks in about two hours or so after the dose...and it looks like she got right to work with that dose...right off to surf the day away...and make you work hard on your 'staycation' or should I say Cat-cation...you did take some time off work right? And she's seeing to it that you're totally consumed by what's most important! :p:joyful::eek:

I missed getting a +10. Got a +11 and it was 59...again thinking about what @Wendy&Neko wrote about feeding a snack at +10 if the number is low and falling, I opted to feed a snack at +11 and delay her shot time by an hour. Two hours later, she was zooming up. Maybe she would've come up on her own without the snack. I wouldn't have known how to tell.

What an exciting day! I hope smooth surfing tonight. Sorry I wasn’t around.
So much work today (and yesterday!) but worth it.
I can't tell if I'm going to be in for a long night. +2 and +3 higher than PMPS, but could still be the MC influence?

PMPS: 50 Fed .66oz (1Tbsp) MC
+1: 85 no food
+2: 117 no food
+3: 112 Fed 1.5 tsp LC
