Is this a thing? Thanks for your thoughts!
Never read that anywhere but I am wondering why you aren’t taking earned reductions. A reduction is earned in an AT when there’s a drop under 68 which happened on 8/25 and 8/30. So while not insulin resistance too much insulin can look like not enough.
It might be the reason for the high numbers you see. Bouncing. The worst thing that happens after a few cycles is it becomes a failed reduction. Best case is that’s the new dose. It’s just a thought to try it.
Thanks - shoot, do you think I should try reducing the dose now? I will get it together. I have been a bit of a mess since Zed's emotional support cat, Zeus is now in for exploratory surgery for an abdominal mass and we have been trying to take care of his symptoms for the last week or so. :-(
No. Don’t reduce now. Wait for the next time. I went back and read that previous post. They were looking at whether to increase and felt differently. However, nobody said anything about the drops under 68, including me. With long term diabetics, a year past diagnosis, we reduce after 3 drops under 68 if using an AT or 50 with a human meter. I started that sooner with Max who didn’t hold reductions. So it’s not dangerous. It’s just a thought I had when I saw your post and looked at the ss. Others might not agree.
Are you on another FB group not attached to ours? You are going to get different opinions and just get more confused. JMHO.Ok, thanks - the thread was not on the FMDB for holding despite the low #s. I will definitely keep this in mind. We also held the 4.5 longer for this reason vs. increasing.

I'm so sorry, I will make sure I do that.I know I'm a broken record...but could you please update your title?
