K, see you in a bit!
Yep, just a normal cycle feeding wise unless we see a reason to give higher carb based on testing.Just checking, I leave her food down for her like I always do, right...so she can eat as normal?

Glad to help!
We will know more at +2 or +3 to make that decision at that time. For now... Breathe, kiss the kitty and put your feet up for a bit to wait for +2
You are doing great!
You are doing great. Sissy is beautiful by the way!

How about updating your title and ditching tge dosing advice part so you have room for tge +2 and +3?
BTW, if you feel TR won’t work for you , go back to SLGS. Do what feels right for you. SLGS was created for a reason.
If I did go back to the SLGS, would I go back to the 1.25 dose and just start as day 1?
I don't know that I will...I just need to think about it and see what I can learn from all this tonight.
Ok, still rising. The +2 is always recommended on the PM cycle as it can give you some hints if it is going to be an active cycle. Ie. If +2 test is lower than PMPS, you probably want to set some alarms for mid to later in the cycle.
I would still get a +3 to make you feel more comfortable about the rest of the cycle.
The guidelines for SLGS asks that a dose (1.25) be held for 7 days and a curve done. Then, if Nadirs are more than 150 - increase the dose by 0.25 units
If nadirs are between 90-150 maintain the same dose.
Under 90 is an immediate reduction by 0.25.
As your cats BG falls mostly in the desired range (300 at its highest to 100 at its lowest), you can increase the time between dose increases.
Of course, every cat is different and you want to learn how your cat responds.
I don't think you start back at day 1 necessarily. But don't forget that because you shot late tonight, what @Butters & Lyla said about your shot time tomorrow am.
You can get back on track with the timing. You can shift back by 30 minutes per day if you need to.
Sorry - was making dinner, just finished.@Wendy&Neko Would you weigh in here please
Lantus doesn't work that way. It's great at keeping low numbers low and flat. We call it "shoot low to stay low". I much preferred shooting lower numbers, cause I had a better idea of what the cycle would look like. They don't do those big drops from low numbers. It really does become easier to shoot lower numbers, once you've done it a few times and seen what happens.Last week I think it was she had a 100 drop then another hour later another about a hundred drop...and that was on a dose I was familiar with...
edit...just looked it was on the 14th and it was a couple hours apart, but still would be scary now.
Okay, so Sissy was on the 1.25 for 7 days and we did a curve that 7th day because I was home all day. Her Nadir that day was 103...so So I would stay at 1.25 for another 7 days? By going back to day one I meant starting the week of holding a dose over again, and then doing another curve.
You can do 1/2 hour once per day, or 15 minute per shot.

It's also not a guarantee, but since she saw her first green today (you go girl!), a bounce may follow.
As for deciding TR or SLGS, the decision is yours. You have to decide what fits your goals for Missy and your lifestyle.
As much as cats follow the rule book, that's a "typical" Lantus cycle. A better description of the Lantus cycle is in the New to the Group Sticky Note. If you see her numbers climb tonight, then she's bouncing from that green as it's a number lower than she's used to - though perfectly safe.So what should have happened today on her spreadsheet was the numbers would go down from the amps and stay somewhat flat...and then rise again before pmps? And she dipped and then climbed and that's a bounce?

I have some of them printed
Mandy, I am going to be heading to bed in 15 mins after Cosmo's +2. Are you OK from here?
Her +3 is still higher than her preshot, so chances are it'll be a fairly quiet cycle. You up for a +5 test? As long as she stays relatively flat, you can call it a night after that.
