Today's AMPS 381.

If I'm understanding TR correctly and have a similar day today, I'll increase by 0.25 tomorrow morning.
 
Increase guidelines for TR:
  • Hold the dose for 3 - 5 days (6 - 10 consecutive cycles) if nadirs are less than 200 before increasing the dose by 0.25 unit.
    • if your cat is new to numbers under 200, it is recommended to hold the dose for at least 8-10 cycles before increasing.
    • when your cat starts to see nadirs under 100, hold the dose for at least 10 cycles before increasing.
  • Increase by 0.25 unit after 3 days (6 consecutive cycles) if nadirs are greater than 200, but less than 300.
  • Increase by 0.5 unit after 3 days (6 consecutive cycles) if nadirs are greater than 300.
Following the TR guideline and looking at your spreadsheet, if Jax's numbers are similar today and tonight then a .25u increase will have been earned as of tomorrow's AM cycle. Wait and see how things go today and tonight. If you do see a number below 200, then definitely post back here and reconsider the increase.:)

I liked to get confirmation for all of my increases, too! It will become easier to make the decision, especially when your kitty is stuck in high numbers. You can always ask for confirmation. Just keep doing your testing, post your numbers and ask anything. People will help you. :)
Your nighttime testing, you may wanna consider getting the odd overnight test in addition to your before bed test. Like, one night a +6, one night a +8, etc. Change it up a bit to fill in the blanks. And once you get Jax into lower numbers, the overnight testing becomes even more important.

Thank you :) And yes totally thought about sprinkling in night time testing to get a picture of what is going on. Was happy to get a +5 last night and will work to get others!

Those later night test will help as many drop lower at night. Max was one and even when I was sure he had hit nadir would wake up to a green amps after being blue or even yellow at +5. That amps always worked better than coffee to get me started.

Thank you! And lol on AMPS working better than coffee! I was perusing other kitties sheets and noticed the night testing. I have an alarm set for PMPS +8 tonight.
