8/20 Catman AMPS 135>156, gave full new dose

Catman got sick yesterday, I blame the friskies salmon pate because the last time we had liquipoo it was exactly the same. We've been keeping track of what we feed him to look for sensitivities but this was a food he's been eating all along and a brand new can. Inconsistent quality?

Anyway I knew his AMPS going to be low today because last night at +3 he was at 207. This morning he was at 135 so I waited 20 minutes without feeding and retested and he was up to 156 so I gave him the full shot and fed him. Now +3 he's back down to 132. I fed him his normal portion using 5% carbs and we'll test him again at +5.

Given the barfing and liquipoo yesterday he's in the laundry room hospital ward again but he's unhappy and meowing and I'm wondering if that is contributing to the problem. Still don't want liquipoo or barf on the carpets! plus he tends to sleep under the stairs and if he's going really low I want eyes on him.

Thoughts?

First good job stalling, re-testing and shooting. I suppose it's possible the digestive upset could be due to the food...strange though. Does the food look different or smell funny...well smell funny beyond what Friskies usually smells? Friskies Stinks!!! LOL! Could Catman have snuck a snack from somewhere you're not aware of?
Stress does all kinds of things to a cat including the poos and vomiting. How's Catman doing today? I don't have to tell you that vomiting/diarrhea may need to be discussed with a Vet. Especially if it's ongoing. Don't want to develop dehydration.

Catman doing today?

We kept him in the laundry room until 5p. His curve was nice, not too steep and there has been no sign of upset. He's eating like mad and interacting with the 5 month old drooler. No poo yet but all his meals are slurries to get liquid in him. Just like last time and reminds me.of when I had food poisoning.... May need to avoid Friskies and stick to FF or avoid fish varieties.... This moist food thing is all new to us!

A little worried with the blue tonight at +3 but can't... stay... awake.... He'll be fed 1oz of 4-5% at 2a and 5a so I just have to assume nothing drastic will happen. Got to get used to blues and greens if we ever want to reduce his dose, right?
