I'm so excited!!! My husband got stuck at work for a double shift. Again. So I tried to get a test in for Jazzy by myself (never have been successful, tried a few times).
I wrapped him in his towel, per usual. And I sat on the kitchen floor and trappef him with my legs. He squirmed around quite a bit of course. I poked him and he squirmed some more. I sang to him and as soon as he was still, I saw the drop and tested it. SUCCESS!!!
I think I may have hit the vein, which I didn't want to do. But at this point, oh well, I'm just glad I got a good test in. He got lots of praise and pets and an extra treat. Really i just think he was glad to get away from me. Lol.
 
Very nice Cheryl! My first solo test was a surprise too! It'll get better as time goes on. He'll come to think of those sessions as 'treat and cuddle time'...

Luci's purrsonality has completely changed from the cat she was before FD..she was a real hellcat...needless to say, they're smart and they catch on...

Soon he'll run to you and the testing place when the 'signal' happens...whatever that signal is...for me it's whistling...I whistle and Luci will come to find me...:) it's cute!

I can't click on your SS though in your signature..It's all grey for me..

I don't know what I did to it. I was trying to fix my signature the I day and I think I messed it up somehow. Is there anyone that can fix it for me? Lol. Really not tech savvy
 
Good job! I used to test Max in the bathroom sink. It was the perfect height for me. I gave meds there too so he knew he was safe everywhere else.

Marje and Gracie is usually the go to person for tech stuff. Chris and China may be able to help as well. If you wanna send them a private message, I think that'll be ok. Sometimes when you tag peeps to get their attention, they don't get tagged...glitches sometimes.

We always do everything in the kitchen. This morning I thought I'd try the bathroom so no other cats were around. Jazzy was having absolutely nothing to do with the bathroom. Lol. Was worth a shot tho

Looks like you got that SS link working now! How are the numbers on the next test?

That was a nice low start...hopefully you've gotten a 2 or 3+ by now...I've been away for a while...don't know how long I can stay - haven't looked at my email from work yet - that's usually a black hole..:rolleyes:

Just did a +6. Didn't want to push my luck doing too many. Lol. +6 is 76
