8.9 Zed - PMPS 165 Blues today! What to shoot??

Looks like this is your first opportunity to shoot some nice low numbers.

So first - you need to answer these questions...are you going to be home and able to monitor this evening? Possibly later than usual..
Do you have plenty of supplies? Test strips, medium and high carb foods; karo syrup. (that's the hypo kit).

Yeah! I have everything I need and I am kind of excited. :) LOL

Wait until you get to shoot a GREEN! It's breathtaking the first time! :D:joyful::D

When you see that number lower than 100 on your meter and your eyes grow wide! What do I do now!!! It's very exciting!

Adding: That is exactly what we're all striving for here...if you'll take a look at some of the other kitties condo's who've gone into remission you'll see they have shot a lot of greens! Look up @Sarah and Blaze - a fine example of the road to remission, well walked. Blaze loved to go low and night and he gave his mama a run for the money (she had to get up for work the next day too!) I don't know how she did it...but she did it. There are many others you can look at...that sea of green...and then one day the OTJ trial...and well, that's it; they 'graduate' to the Falls...and it's another PARTAY!!

I hope this is the turning point for you...it's early and you're doing a great job!

Thank you so much!! We hope so too. I will also take a look at Sarah and Blaze...I love looking at other kitteh's spreadsheets to see their journey. I really appreciate you responding and for the support. :-)

You're very welcome.

I see on 8/7 that Zed dropped from the 400's to the beautiful blues by that 2+, and then continued down by the next test by about another 40 points. He was giving you a warning that he was on his way down, down, down. Whenever Luci drops more than 100 points I set my timer to test again...and if she's still dropping by the next test by anything significant...and by that I mean by more than just a few points I usually give her some LC/MC mixed...trying to slow her down...test again in an hour or two (yes, by this time I'm not very happy about being up too late and often can enlist DH, who's a nightowl to jump in and test and feed a few more times)...then we set the auto-timer with food and get some sleep...although we have been known to set alarms to ring all night long :( to test Luci...when she finally stops dropping and comes up by at least 50 or 100 points, I know that she's finished her slide and then I can get some rest...however nighttime is the time when they love to go surfing...and by the looks of it, Zed went on down to visit the sharks (under 68/40)...because of that big bounce the next day.

It's just like a kid who's gotten into the chocolates...that telltale chocolate around the mouth and on their hands is a dead giveaway..although they'll deny it ...hmm...the proof is in the pudding...and in this case the tell is that big bounce the next day. Someone went where they shouldn't have gone...but next time you'll know...so set those alarms Bree...and you'll see the magic of Lantus - especially the late night Lantus..oh boy...:D:D

I just saw the tag. I was out getting a little exercise. I’m glad you got some responses. Nice to see a lower PMPS, isn’t it? Get a +2.

Great suggestions above!

The one thing to note is that Zed's numbers are on the way up from nadir. That's very helpful. If Zed's numbers were still dropping, you might want to wait until you have more experience in dealing with lower numbers. Shooting a dropping number is not for the faint of heart!
