8/01 Kozmo, AMPS 86, +4 47!, +5 106, +6 74

Hi Annie
Yes! Congratulations, Kozzie has earned a reduction in dose down to 1.25 units.
His spreadsheet is amazing. I hope you have taken it back to the vet and shown it to her.

Wow! Was just thinking about you guys-- look at Kozmo go! But stay away from the sharks, buddy, it's enough to just request your decrease and back up, please :).
Did you feed some higher carb food and retest 30 mins later to check the BG is on the way back up again?
We're very proud of our Kozzie!

He'll only eat his LC wet food, but larger quantities of it push his BG up somewhat. He immediately helped himself to a decent sized snack and we didn't realise he needed testing in 30 minutes. We felt confident enough with the amount he ate to test in an hour which we've just done - he's bounced up to 106.

I had planned to test again in another hour (+6) but am thinking we probably don't need to after that bounce?

Annie it is recommended that when a kitty drops under 50 that you feed and test again in 30 minutes to make sure the kitty is going up not down. There’s no guarantee Kozzie will come up every time.
I would also test again in a couple of hours as cats can wobble up and down as the food wears off.

Thanks Bron. I'll remember to check the sticky notes next time
