Make sure you get a +1 and/or two. From your SS, it looks like the carbs will bring him up. If he continues to drop, you may have a PJ party tonight. You'll have to monitor a bit more this evening...especially if he goes down after the food spike at +4....PMPS + 20min = 75
Just gave him half a can of fancy feast classic pate beef which is 3% carbs up from his normal 1% cod sole, shrimp or salmon feast.
I'm comfortable giving him 2.25 units at this point.
8 should be OK.....when stalling, if, like an hour....you can get back to your usual time by moving in increments of 15 mins per shot....30 mins per day. Good Luck!!!!Since this was my first stall I have 2 questions.
Do I wait in the AM to shoot until 8:20 or is 8 ok?
Also since I fed him at 8:20p should I wait until 10:20p to test?
Thanks!
Is that a thing food +4?especially if he goes down after the food spike at +4....
Ok, I wasn't really clear.....if the food brings him up at the +1/2...he may start to drop at +4....(your SS indicates significant drop between +3-+6 in some instances) you'll have to monitor closely....if below, say 70's, test every half hour to hour. Use food to keep him at a good number (above 50).... feed a small amount (a couple of teaspoons) of food (I do LC--3=6%) because Nova is sensitive to carbs. If he continues to go lower, feed again and test in 20-30mins---perfectly OK to feed a higher carb (MC--10-12%) or gravy type food to bring him back up and/or surf those greens! Keep your hypo kit at the ready. If...he decides to bounce....at +5 test...you can get some sleep. Is that a thing food +4?
So much info to absorb!
I'd see what he does tonight. Normally you can make up the schedule 15 minutes a shot, or 1/2 hour once per day.Do I wait in the AM to shoot until 8:20 or is 8 ok?
No, I'd get a +1 to see if you need to intervene early. Also since I fed him at 8:20p should I wait until 10:20p to test?
Catman has been know to bounce before.

Self care is especially important. Can't take care of our sweeties if we're a mess. And this morning (7/30) he was at 369 for his AMPS. He probably didn't need the MC (12%) option at 11p but I DID and part of this is self-care, right?
I hope CO is lovely this time of year. CT has been in an >85 heatwave for the last week...
It is probably and most likely a bounce. Catman's body is still reacting to the low numbers. It happens. Usually you can see if the food has had an influence on their BG reading. Nova raises, after food, LC 4-6%, to around 100-150+ BG over from am/pm ps...so I assume she is carb sensitive, and her pancreas does not kick in to keep her level, meaning...she rises after her food and lowers later in the cycle. When you said your cat was really sensitive to carbohydrates I was not sure what you meant. Could it be that after giving him a meal of a FF 12% carb last night at 8pm when he was in the '70s that his +9 this afternoon is 469? I still don't really get bounces and surfing and depots but I'm sure at some point this will all sink in...
You are still early in the game...you are doing great. It's really hard & frustrating, but you can do this!
I see good thing in your future.
(I can't see what these tiny emojis are doing on my phone but hopefully this is some sort of thumbs up one.)
