Morning all!

My cat crush is a whopping 28lbs of snuggling power. We rescued him from a house with many pets so lots of free range dry food. We have got his weight down so I have no clue what he weighed when we got him!

Lately he's been peeing on my son's bed hence we made a vets apt. That's where we heard the word diabetes. The vet sent us home to get a urine sample but we will probably ask for blood work.

We know his weight is an issue so we're definitely dedicated to his weight loss and health. My daughter would be traumatized if we gave him up.

I look forward to this journey and taking you all along!

WELCOME TO FDMB! Lily! 28 pounds...wow... I am SO glad you found us. We are happy to help (------- fill in blanks here) lol navigate this disease. This is one fight we are ALL IN TOGETHER!
We are dedicated to give our extra sweet kitties a good and happy life. We look forward to helping your baby enjoy the same!
First you may want to set up a signature. It will appear at the bottom of each of your post with info like names, insulin used, Meter used, food your baby eats...all of your cats particulars. This helps everyone see at a glance all these things so we dont have to scroll through threads to find info.
Our request for a spreadsheet speaks for itself. You will record daily how much insulin and the results of testing, to track your cats insulin usage and how its working in his body. I do hope you are home testing his blood glucose numbers. If not hey! we can help you with that too! all you need do is ask!;):coffee:
You can find the above here:
Suggestions, Tech Support & Testing Area

Again welcome, to the best darn site on this planet, to learn how to give your cat, his best chance with this disease! :bighug:
