AMPS 101

Kozmo didn’t eat his LC/original wet food mix that we left out overnight. He usually eats this but he’s being stubborn about his original food after feeding it to him yesterday morning because he needed higher carbs due to low shoot.

I suspect he’s low this morning because he’s hungry?

Not sure if we should shoot 1 unit again?
 
I think he’s dropping because he’s hungry.
I would feed him a higher carb food for dinner and if he eats well I think we should give him 1 unit like last night and test +1 +2, etc. and feed +1 +2 like you did last night.
Do you have honey if needed. and plenty of strips?
Are you comfortable to shoot?
 
His appetite was good (higher carb) but not the best. Think his urge to poop may have been the cause of that. He’s had his gaba now. We shot 1 unit. I forgot we were supposed to report to you first :banghead:

Let’s see what the +1 is.
Kozmo you have the same job as you did yesterday. Stay off the trampoline and out of the deep water. Play on the beach and eat all your food and treats :cat:
 
Testing at +4?

I might have an interruption at around +5.5 for an hour or two. Neil’s here but he’s prepping for a minor surgical procedure tomorrow and he’s a tad uncomfortable but will try to run testing if it’s needed.

not sure how much more Kozmo will eat but will switch to LC when he does.

he hadn’t peed yet but will try my best to catch it when he does.

I’d get a +4 and if it’s steady and you need to go out he should be fine.
I’d go back to 2 units again PMPS.
If he’s low again tomorrow morning I think we should then reduce the dose to 1.75 units both cycles so that you can shoot a consistent dose.....providing there are no ketones.

Thanks Bron. Neil’s happy to keep testing. We’ll shoot 2 units tonight but will check here first if he’s under 11 for his PMPS.

I was going to say +7 except I was surprised at the drop from +3 to +4 when he was fed last at +2. Then he wasn’t fed after +4 so I wondered if he might drop again at +6.....if you can follow my thinking:)

He’s obviously quite carb sensitive.
 
I can take over. I need to go out right now for a little while but should be back for any shenanigans.

If things get hairy before I get back, you can always edit the subject line to draw more eyes to the thread. I think Kozmo is going to be a good boy, though-- right Kozmo? :cat:
 
hi, you should probably also update your thread title with the latest values. so someone scanning threads can quickly zero in on people needing help.
i realize you have a lot of values today, so maybe just put a few up if they don't all fit. especially the latest ones if he is going low. Say:

I normally do, but I truly don’t have time at the moment - for the first time. My husband is testing and I’m quickly updating.
