Pretty exciting to see Cosmo slide out of the black and reds today! Hopefully the new food will help!!!!
 
Great to see Cosmo try on a new suit colour! Would be even better to see in on the spreadsheet. Ahem. ;)

I'm so happy he likes the new food. That's a really good quality product too.

Jasper looks like a real softie - hope he likes cuddling.

Absolutely! He loves the new food! Fingers crossed that he has no allergic reaction.

Are you able to see the updates to his numbers today on his sheet? I was trying to fill it out at work, but the Google doc doesn't always allow me to enter with poor wifi :confused:

He had a pink kind of day and remained pink at PMPS!!! Maybe he can slide into some yellows tonight!!!
 
Cosmo has a vet appointment tomorrow. I'm not sure this decrease into the 300's is because of the food or the insulin. Hope the vet visit goes well!
 
Unless you've changed anything regards to insulin, it's the food that is making the difference. The depot would have been built up a couple days ago. We have had cats drop a lot in dose when switched to low carb food. Two dramatic examples - a cat on "vet" dry kibble switched to LC when he was adopted by an experienced caregiver. Went from 13 units (you read that right) of Levemir to 1.5 units. Another was a kitty that the caregiver thought was on all LC wet, but evidently he was jumping on a counter she thought he couldn't get to. She banished the kibble, kitty went from 5.5 units to off of insulin in a couple really scary days. Usually examples aren't that dramatic, but you can still see a significant change.

Thanks Wendy! Other than the dose increase in the PM of 6/18, it has been the food change. We started ziwipeak last night. He had 3% venison yesterday and 10% beef today. I went to the store again on my way to work to grab more cans of 6% and 3% since he responded so well :) I was armed with the food % document while I shopped this time.

I wonder if the vet will give us some B12 shots to take home tomorrow? The neuropathy is limiting his activity levels which could help with a further decrease in numbers... If he can walk better. :bookworm:

I have the day off tomorrow too! (finally!)
