HI ROCKY just dropped from 98 to 69 in an hour should I give him honey ? He's never been this low I'm new at this

do you have some high carbs food? Maybe try that first then retest in 20 minuets. Then again I dont know Novolin . Please post this same thread on the novolin board.

Is not too low yet to actually consider honey but you could consider giving him some food (his regular food or some mid carb food) just to prevent him going futher down and monitor him in a little while at +4

Thank you I made the mistake of giving away all of his high carb food, I'm going to test again in about 20 mins

I would test in another hour for sure and if it’s still going up then maybe easy up from there. You might want to also look at the hypo kit info in the link JT posted to make sure you’ve got all that in moving forward

Yup, 0.25U reduction for going under 90. He may be sky-high by then (he's not used to these kinds of numbers, so his body may react by dumping sugars to get him back up), but take the reduction to 0.75 anyway.
