Appetite question:
My girl Aries usually gobbles up her food no problem, I noticed today she didn’t seem quite as enthusiastic during feeding time. Tonight at her PM shot time I put down her food and she ate some and then walked away. I picked her up and put her back in front of her plate and she would eat some more and then loss interest. We did that a couple times and she ended up eating most of it but didn’t lick the plate clean like usual. I was able to check for ketones tonight and it was negative. It just worries me...

Then right now at +8 in the PM cycle she started to hack but nothing came out, I picked her up and she laid with me and was purring super loud. 5-8 min later she got up and wondered off a little and puked up what looks like bile to me? I tested her BG and she’s at 266. I gave her her little chicken treat after testing and she ate it.

Her chart is up to date. I’m feeding her fancy feast pate chicken. Do you think she’s just getting bored of the food? Or is there something else that could cause loss of appetite? I was thinking she was bored with the food until she threw up.. Any advice?

It could be shes just bored with her food easy way to find out is just buy a few cans of FF pate and see what happens. The vomiting I'm not sure. Is she acting normally otherwise? Let see what others have to say ok?

BTW Your Aries is a short hair version of my Zoe! :bighug:
Aries is adorable:)

It sounds like she may be nauseated after the vomiting. Do you have any Cerenia you can try to give her so see if it helps? I’d try changing up the food too. Also I always try baby food when Minnie vomits and doesn’t want to eat. When was her last vet visit? I’d keep an eye out and if it keeps happening, I’d make a vet appointment. It could just be a one off thing

Thank you everyone!! She was acting pretty normal today. I was able to get some other flavor options of the Fancy Feast Pate and she gobbled it up tonight no problem. Having some baby food on hand sounds like a good back up. Is there a certain kind you recommend?
I'm glad it wasn't bile. Ill look into the famotidine to have on hand. Thanks!!
