Help - PMPS 167 stalling

Hi, stalling without feeding and will retest shortly. Posting here since Vetsulin forum usually quiet. If low again not sure whether to skip or give small dose...if no replies I'll give maybe 0.5U and keep an eye on him

I don’t know Vetsulin well but if this was Minnie with Lantus I’d give a token dose at 167 unless they next reading is way lower

Vetsulin is quite a different insulin to Lantus. It hits hard and fast. 167 is a lot lower than you have shot before. I don’t use Vetsulin so can’t give dosing advice so hopefully someone with Vetsulin experience comes along. Have you read the Vetsulin information? please be cautious giving Vetsulin with a much lower Preshot than you normally get.

I have, the general info seems to be if less than 150 skip altogether. Between 150-200 stall without feeding for 20-30 mins. He was at 211 after stall...going to check one last time, if he's still hovering around 200 I'll skip. If higher I'll do 0.5U and check him throughout the night

Decided to skip, too many things at play and I'd rather him stay high than go too low at night when I can't keep as good an eye on him. I suspect low #s are because he didn't eat much this afternoon.

at 211 I'd give a reduced dose. maybe 1-1.5

That’s quite alright. Better safe than sorry. And as I said I don’t know Vetsulin so go with your guts
