I hope this caber shipment makes it to you. How strange for the deer to chase the cat.

I think there is a newborn fawn in my clump of daffodils where the deer chased the cat. The deer is laying nearby. The moms don't stay with the babies to protect them but they are within a hundred yards. They only go near babies to feed them for the first few months. Mom must have thought the cat was a threat.

I've certainly never seen a deer chase anything except another deer lol.

Well UPS won't deliver on weekends even though it's an overnight. So back to square one of not having it. Pharmacy is call UPS to see if there is any way to get it to me. If I didn't have to work I would drive the 3 hrs to go get it.
So far no local pharmacy carries it. Was hoping to get just a few pills to get her through.
Update: somehow original shipment got to ups and that one is being delivered today. Why they can deliver this one and not new batch is beyond me.

So the 1st shipment of caber that was regular mail and in Florida yesterday arrived today. When pharmacist talked to UPS about the 2nd shipment that was overnighted but won't get until Tuesday told pharmacist that the 1st was turned over to them and I would get it today. I get home and 1st shipment is here. No UPS label, no extra labels at all. So my questions are 1. If UPS doesn't deliver on weekends even if it's a next day overnight, why did I get this one and other can't be delivered? 2. Did the Post Master tell me the truth about it being in Florida and it was still at the center where it was for 4 days and they found it and got it on its way. All tracking stops at the center an hour away from me. Guess we will never know.

She isn't feeling good tonight. Husband said she was in the same spot all day. After dinner she went behind the tv.
Could be missed caber dose, then 1/2 dose of it, having regular canned food all day because I worked. The VE dries out to much to leave in the timed feeder and it is freeze dried raw so don't like leaving it out all day.

Cabergoline. Ollie is an Acro cat. in a nut shell, the medication has shown to help suppress the secretions of the pituitary gland tumor causing the diabetes and in some cats very high doses of insulin, and physical symptoms. There are only a few studies done on very small number of cats. Most vets do not recognize this medication as they are told it doesn't work. It has helped Ollie, her symptoms have greatly diminished or disappeared, her insulin has been reduced at times by half.
This medication can not be stopped abruptly. It must be tapered as you are dealing with hormones.
Did you give her some of the cabergoline you got today? Might be better than nothing. I'm sure we all have horror stories about UPS. I know I do, won't use them if I have a choice.

I had 1 full dose left of current so I gave that last night. When the USPS 1st order arrived yesterday and I did some checking on it. Saw it didn't go to Florida and it appears to have been in their sorting facility the whole time and yesterday was the 10 day mark that the pharmacy says to give it, I decided I will try it. So tonight she will get it.
UPS is pretty good in my area, post office is worse. The 2nd order UPS should get here Tuesday. So looks like I got a free batch. I did ask pharmacy if they wanted they wanted the first one back if it ever showed up, they said no. They are going to look into the 2 other mailing options I mentioned. The Media mail box and the flat rate 2 day small box mail. Also found Wal-Mart carries the 0.5 mg pill and will accept goodrx price which was $71 for 8 pills but need original script, they won't accept call from her pharmacist with the info. I don't know how close the 0.5 mg is to Ollie's dose but I think it's pretty close without going over. Ollie's vet was already gone for the weekend and covering vet wouldn't call it in. It's an option to bring up to vet so I have a script if this should ever happen again.
