Shiloh isn't eating well today. He had 1 unit of lantus at 615 this morning and ate half his breakfast. He threw up bile today, so gave him cerenia about 5pm. He hasn't eaten his supper and had 1 unit of lantus at 6pm. He was playing and acting pretty normal. He did eat a few treats for me. Any suggestions?

Hi Erin,

Are you home testing? And what food is Shiloh eating?

hopefully Cerenia will help. It’s important that he eats with the insulin. Can you try some baby food or tuna? What treats did he eat and how many would you say?

Does he have any other symptoms such as dehydration, diarrhoea.

We are not home testing. Shiloh has IBD besides the diabetes so we are very limited on food choices. He is eating Hills ZD wet now. We have tried novel protein from royal canin and he won't eat those.

He did eat a few treats for me. I finally got him to eat alittle of his wet food, not much tho.

He had 3 treats and they are royal canin hp treats.

Minnie has a GI tract IBD like issue too. Isn’t baby food okay for that? Also, have you heard of Rawz? It’s very IBD friendly and less than 10% carbs which is good for diabetes as well. Check out the ingredients on their site
