Luci and I both had a nice day at the beach and Luci even did a little surfing! The beach was gorgeous and it was a soul-restoring morning walk for me! I told my boss when I returned that I felt happy and at peace and not at all aggravated about any of it! Lots of aggravations and annoyances with work...but that's par for the course I guess.

Here are some pics from my walk - nothing like those gorgeous pics that @Judy and Boomer takes - oh I wish - but you'll get the gist of my enjoyable morning. The beach wasn't busy at all...maybe more people were coming later as it was a gorgeous day!

There's a dolphin in the water just behind this boat harassing these fishermen. See the water spout?

He was catching a lot of little shiny minnows!

This fellow was looking for another feeding spot.

This is what it looked like when I arrived.

Another small beach area - not a soul in sight!

Beautiful pics! It’s been forever since I’ve been to a beach. Any time outside always makes me happy! Hope Luci heads to the beach again today!

Looks like your walk would restore anyone’s soul ! Paradise.

Is the quarantine orders lengthening your time there?

It was wonderful! I'm looking forward to getting back out there soon!

Between the crappy weather in Michigan (today is in the 40's and rainy, here it's 81 and now it's sunny, we had a storm earlier, but it wasn't cold)...and the governor of Michigan and her extraordinary quarantine/stay-at-home orders, we're in no hurry to go back north anytime soon. The COVID-19 situation was never as severe in Florida as it was in Michigan apparently - and the governor here in Florida seems a bit more sensible - for instance he said yesterday there in certain parts of the state of Florida where there were very few to 0 cases of COVID-19 the restrictions should not be imposed upon those counties as severely as the SE part of Florida where there was a much higher number of case - many people from NY fled to the east coast of Florida to ride out the storm. Unfortunately they brought the illness with them and it spread like wildfire among those communities.

So we're planning on staying here until at least the end of May - and possibly longer if things aren't better in Michigan. I'm also hearing from family/friends back home that the grocery stores are really struggling to re-stock the shelves. Here in Florida, shelves are nearly back to normal. Almost everything is in stock and plentiful - possibly due to the fact that many snowbirds left for home and partially because the coronavirus just isn't as bad here and the numbers continue to drop daily. Hospitals are under 50% capacity and elective surgeries are beginning next week. Stores and restaurants are re-opening next week at 25% capacity with 6' between shoppers/patrons. With beaches and sporting activities being restored (tennis and pickle ball, boccie etc.) starting up again tomorrow and other activities I'm sure the authorities will be watchful for an upturn in cases - should that happen then those places would most likely be shut down again and we'll have to go thru the 'stay at home' all over again...we'll just have to play it by ear to see how it goes.

As for what I'm observing, most places are asking people to wear masks - Costco and Fresh Market require masks to enter - no mask = no shopping! Social distancing is also asked of all shoppers while in the store. I believe masks and social distancing will become the style of the day for quite some time or at least until a vaccine has been found and vetted for this thing...

I hope you and your family are doing well!

Sounds like staying out is a good plan! Yes , the governor of Michigan’s orders were quite mind boggling to say the least.

What a nice place to be to ride the wave!
