Plan on doing Tiger's switch tomorrow 5/1 Am shoot.
Do I have to wait for any period or time before switching? For ex: Prozinc in his body, his readings, eating etc..

Welcome over here Jacque. To answer the question, no you don't have to wait. Shoot Prozinc one cycle, Levemir the next. The Levemir depot will have to build, so you may or may not see much action right away.

The suggested dose to start Tiger on is 4u's of Levemir. Since I'm new to this type of insulin and Tiger has a tendency to bounce alot. I'm going to do SLGS. Also..Prozinc and Vetsulin is all I know about.
SLGS I hold for a week right or is that old info?
And I need some guidance on what to do with the pen? Only know how to use a vial. Like do I have to push air into the pen? I know that I'm using the u100 syringe not the dial thingy.
Keep in the fridge..what temp should it be? Prozinc is like 38 degrees. Wanted to make sure I'm ready before tomorrow..just in case I can't get ahold of you guys ya know?

I followed the link and took a gander. So, I Don't refrigerate the "in use" pen?
But it's good to store the unused in the fridge.
The link provided to watch a video(Levemir's website) say's Not to refrigerate the "in use" pen. The sticky note says it's ok to store both used and unused in the fridge. Just wanna make sure I'm reading this correctly.

Store the pen in the fridge. The not storing in the fridge is for people (not cats) who use the pen needles instead of syringes. They use larger doses and go through pens faster. The pen needle mechanism doesn't work if kept in fridge.

Ah I see, makes sense. Unfortunately Tiger is going to be using a bigger dose than the "normal" cat..at least for right now.
