Day 28 @ 1.5 Units Lantus

Good Morning......it's a nice sunny morning which actually makes me feel better:)
Yo has been doing well and I am so very thankful to say that he is not favoring his back paw, I can only wish that he stays strong and takes care of his paws:cat:

Wishing you all a Safe and healthy day and of course that all of our Kitties Surf Safely :bighug:

Beautiful SS Yo!! :cool::D
Good to hear that his paw doesn't seem to be bothering him anymore. :bighug: Any idea on what you think caused it to hurt?
Have a good evening Debra! :)

I really don't know how he injured his paw... I can only guess that he jumped down from something that he shouldn't have.... I try and "cat" proof the house but it's hard to get to everything.
The vet told me he wouldn't miss his leg....well for Yo its been a long journey. He does not walk normal, but he can fly up and down the carpeted stairs. It's hard for him to walk on tile. He jumps great, no issues there, it's the coming down that always concerns me. So I am assuming that he hurt his paw jumping off of a chair. I now keep that door to that room closed. But then he cries, he wants to go in there. I can't win:rolleyes:

That's an amazing start!! Go go Yoyo!!! :D:D:D Stay on your board and surf safe today, no jumping!!

Have a great day Debra :):):)

Hi Debra! I’m glad his paw seems better. He could have landed funny and sprained his paw. I would imagine being 3 legged the landing would not be equal causing some trauma. Bubba has had a sprained paw a few times that remedied quickly.

He is hanging onto this dose. I’m wondering if on 4/26 PM cycle, had you not giving him 3 tsp of HC if he might have earned a reduction? I wouldn’t have given HC then with a flat cycle.

I haven’t been online in a while , so maybe I am missing some info that influenced your decision.

I'm glad his paw seems better...the only thing I can think of is that maybe it's a touch of arthritis. Yes, cats can get arthritis, just like us old people. I think Luci has it because when we're home in our house in Michigan where we have stairs, she really has to take her time getting down the stairs. They're not carpeted so I think she goes slower because she can't get good tracking on that wood...and maybe it bothers her. I know it bothers me! Someday when we retire we're getting a place without stairs - like our condo in Florida - no stairs for the us old timers including Miss Luci :)

Glad to hear you started out with some sunshine - we started out with a storm! And ended the day pleasantly with a beautiful clear sky!

I'm thinking the only reason that I would have given Yo 3 tsp HC is because I am so sleep deprived that when he starts to go low during the later hours of the night I try and stop him from going to low since I won't test him again for at least 2.5-3 hours until his usual +8 time. But I appreciate the info about him being flat and thus I shouldn't have fed HC.

I know that you had some family issues, I hope all is well. Many prayers have been sent your way and I continue to pray for you:bighug:
