Help please my boy skipped a shot last night as he was 5.4 pmps now its pmps again he and was 7 30mins ago now he is 7.2 haven't fed or given a shot yet??

Ok that will be the 2nd stall us that right?
You can stall again if it won’t throw you out too much.
You have shot lower numbers than this before. Yesterday am was 6.9
You can either stall for another 20 minutes, or go ahead and give the 2 units or you can give areduced dose if you are not comfortable giving the 2 units

Thankyou so much, comforting to have help on hand..how do I remove it please? I also give him 1 tsp low carb wet food at 10pm with water it's a new daily routine
Just go up to the subject line and click on it and it should go

what do you mean when you say you give him a tsp of low carb at 10pm with water.....don’t you give him any other food during the pm cycle?

No other food just am 1/2 Can pro plan &1/2 Can science diet 1tbsn wet at 10am 1/2 can of both at 6.30pm an10pm 1tbsp wet I add water cause he isn't drinking much. He is over weight and the vet wanted 2 meals only exactly same 12hr apart I give treats when he has a test of freeze dried chicken. Is that ok?

Quite a few of the Proplan and as I think most of the science diet cans are high carb.
Can you tell me the names of the cans you use?

The proplan focus urinary chicken entree I get a carb count of either 9 or 4.7 going on the carb calculator and the nutrient lists ?? The science diet is chicken stew cd urinary. I realise that us high carb but I cut the dry food out completely and only feed 1/2 Can in am and pm so he gets 1/2 Can proplan too. He seems to be going ok so far. He had a big operation in 2014 and I am to scared to change at moment it's even scary halving it so I'm doing it slow and adding water to all meals.

The proplan cans seem to be around 9carbs but the science diet c/d cans are 29% carbs. That s a lot of carbs.
I don’t want to change your mind or go against your vet. I just want to give you the facts so you can make up your own mind.

The most important thing for cats with urinary issues is water. So any dry food is bad. I’m glad you have ditched the dry;
and I can’t see why he can’t eat something during the cycle as long as the amount of food during the day is the same. That is split it up so he gets some snacks.
Has he lost any weight?
I see he’s now at 10.9

Yep he lost about 1kg cause he got really sick for a week and he used to eat 4x day lol.. Yep back to 10.9 and I will give him some pro plan at 10pm that will help if he us going to drop at all. I can't believe he was on 6 units at one point I am happy at the moment with both foods mixed at least he us only getting 1/2 the amount of carbs. Until I can feel confident he won't have a blockage
