Change or hold dose

Hi all,
So Little has been on 2 units for 10 days. ( not counting the first 2 days as the needles I was using didn’t seem to release all the insulin). She still seems to be bouncing a lot. She got a few cycles of nice greens and a bunch of yellow and pink and 1 LIME. I know that from November to March I held doses too long due to other things that were going on. I’m afraid I messed her up in doing so but my question is, do I increase now or give her more time to perhaps adjust?? Afraid if I go up I’ll see more Lime which always gives me anxiety since typically it occurs at night. I feel like I messed up royally the last few months so want to make sure I do the right thing going forward. Thank you all for any advice you can give.

Which method are you using?

I know drops under 50 are scary especially at night. Max loved to have pj parties with me. But for us it was part of the dance and helped him get tightly controlled.

What dosing method are you following? With TR, you would want numbers to drop below 40 since Little is more than a year past diagnosis. With SLGS, you want to decrease if numbers drop below 90. Please look at the dosing methods sticky and select a method that seems best suited to ou and your kitty. Having a strategy that you can look over will also help you to make decisions about how long to hold a dose, when or whether to increase a dose, etc.

Lisa, when you have a moment, could you update your title to add the date/kitty name/amps? It would be very helpful as the forum gets busier during the day/evening.

If you know where your last post is, it's also helpful to add the url of that last post to this new post.

Thanks so much!

If you select 'edit'/title you'll be able to write the title of your post like this: 4/15 Little AMPS 262 - then your question 'Change or hold dose'? That way when people review the posts for today, they'll immediately see what date you posted, the cats name and the AMPS. As you look over all the posts from today you'll see that's the standard for posting - lots of other members add the other BG's they obtain throughout the day - some don't. It's just a helpful method to keep all of the posts for today available...as the day proceeds and people add, the posts get pushed down lower and lower on the list.

As for your url from your previous post, you would need to locate it, copy and paste it into the first line of your post today. I can't tell what was said previously since there's no reference to a previous post. It's just a helpful way to allow continuity for everyone who reads your post today.

Understood but my question is not related or based on pmps. It’s general as it applies to my numbers o er the last 10 days
