? 04-11 amps 457 - Do you rip your cat's ear sometimes?

I pierced China's ears so many times when we first started that I joked that I should go out and buy her a pair of diamond stud earrings.

Are you using a device or using the lancet freehand? I liked freehand much better because I felt more in control of where and how deep I was poking.

I am using the needles. Sometimes he is calm and it is not so bad but yesterday we tested him a lotso trying to find a spot where it is not too damaged. He moves assuming it hurts him and next thing we know, I have torn his ear.
When you look at your cat's ear, do you see all the scabs?

At first, but once her ears learned to bleed and I got my technique down, you couldn't tell she was ever tested unless you were right on top of her. She was tested over 16,000 times and her ears were perfect except for the "sweet spot" being a little darker due to all the capillaries that had grown into that smaller area.

I've been using the lancet device for the last few months - it's become much easier and quicker for both of us. I have the device set to 4 and Freckles doesn't even notice that I'm testing her but then again she is eating her freeze dried chicken treat at the same time.
