Kitties All--

Let's gather together, sugars and civvies, for the Full Pink Moon. It sure does feel like things have changed a lot since our last moon party. I know all of us kitties have been working extra long hours taking care of our beloved beans, and we could use an evening to relax together and to support and encourage each other.

Under the excellent direction of Chieflet Luna, there will be traditional favorites as purrpared by my mentor, Chef Rusty, and the Kitchen Krews of yore at Pink Moons past:
Appetizers: Pink-Champagne Cocktails; Pink Niptinis; Pink Lady Cocktails; Assorted Caribbean Microbrews; Assorted Paw Prints Pizzas; Souse; Fire Roasted Jerk Shrimp; Sushi Bar specialties of Sushi Chef Tux and featuring Chef Neko's Sushi rolls with the catch of the day, Bahamian Rock Lobster.
Entrees: Chef Mannie's Renowned recipe for PNW Poached Sockeye Salmon made with Bahamian Red Snapper and seasoned with hot sauce; Conch Chowder; Grilled Bahamian Chicken; Pan-fried Grouper Fingers with Beer Marinade; Dried Mullet Roe; Grilled Hot Dogs & Sausages; Curried Crab.
Salads: Conch Salad; Pink Cabbage Slaw; Radicchio Salad with Fresh Sea-Grass Clippings à la Butthead & Donny; Crouton Bar.
Desserts: Maggie's Signature Cherry Cheesecakes; Johnny Cake; Mango Pies à la Chief Pastry Chef Tess; Chef Felix's Rhubarb Crumble with extra-crunchy Catnip Crumblies; Tobey's Cimmamum Cookies baked by the Sea; Dessert Chef Sootie's New Shoreham Sea Moss custard mousse delicately surrounded with rosemary egg white froth topped with spring pink phlox flowers; Chef Stu's World Famous Catmint Parfaits.

Newer traditions include Bubba's MouseMousse; Leo's Chunky Tuna and Salmon Ice Cream with Sardine Sprinkles; Chef Felix's Sweet and Savory Crunchy Crouton Toppers; Olive's Shoelaceghetti with a side of pickles; TinySolé's sister Cookie's cod brownies filled with catnip; PussCatDusty's crispy birds feet served on baked catnip wafers (mmmmm, crunchy!) as well as her sweet and sour skink tail vol-au-vents & freeze dried plain yoghurt balls; Chef Felix's Mediterranean platter with crunchy falafel, catmint mewli-tabouli, and smoked papurrika hummouse; Chieflet Luna's Longtail Surprise à la Rosa and Regan. You'll find Bella's Catinis at the Tiki Hut.

If you're not feeline wild and crazy tonight, please come to the party anyway. We will find you a comfy spot on the Taster Blankets and some delicat morsels to nibble. And you'll have a purrfect view for the Circle of Remembrance at midnight, when the veil thins between us and our beloved GAs at the Rainbow Bridge and we can purrceive them partying with us.


One GA whom I'm going to be purrticularly looking out for on this full pink moon is Rose, whose momma @Carol in Chicago called this the full rose moon. Rosie's momma used to say a beautiful thing to her, which applies to all of us FDMB kitties and our beans and is a comfort to remember at this time:
I tell her every day that people all over the world care about her.

Yo, Chef Felix!! We've never been to a full moon pawty (China would sneak out of da house and not even tell us until da next day!) but we'd sure like to come to dis one!

We don't have any fancy clothes like da Queen of da house had, but we knows how to pawty!!...and besides dat....mom's ALWAYS at home now! We kitties need some breathing room! Whatever dis crazy ting going on in da hoomin world needs to stop so us kitties can get back to our normal lives of sleepin', eatin' and ruling da house!

How do we get dere? Will da bus pick us up or should we watch for da flying kangaroo's? (if da kanga's iz comin', maybe you better send 3 or 4....between da two of us, dere's about 40lbs of cat)

The Full Pink Super Moon is gigantic. It is just coming visible through the trees here. I'm on my way to the PARTY. Can't wait to be with all the kitties celebrating, eating all those fantastic fuds, and seeing the GAs through the veil during the Circle of Remembrance. I'll look for Rusty. I think he knows who I am! I'll look for Stu, too. My mamabean tells me that many of the things I do remind her of Stu. But I can't cook like Chef Stu or like Chef Rusty. I just like to eat.

Got my dancin' shoes on. I like to dance up trees!

The clowder asked me to to relay that they are all on board with big yays and are on their way to join in, to see old friends and meet and greet new friends, help with the kitchen krew, and of course, the Circle of Remembrance which they say will be extra special with tonight’s full moon.

Sootie sez thanks for reviving her New Shoreham Surprise dessert with pink phlox flowers for the occasion. She reports that she’s been at full steam ahead gathering ingredients and prepping for tonight’s gala.

I just went out and looked and saw the big moon just ready to go behind the clouds and it was rose colored.
Ginger and Jackson are so tired of me being in their house constantly, they are very happy to escape and join the party tonight.

Jackson is looking forward to trying the MouseMousse and Ginger wants to try the fish Ice Cream :)

Isn't that menu just awesome! We're doing our very best to make sure everyone enjoys it - Roxi's taking lots of notes from the Taster Blanket kitties, and Luna is busy in the kitchen making sure everything that's sent out is just perfect. We, too, of course have special feelings about a pink moon because of our precious GA Rosa, not to forget her twin Regan either of course. And we're looking forward to seeing both of them, as well as Carol's Rose, who I'm sure they've both made friends with already. The kittens are dancing up a storm as always, under momma Ruby's watchful eye. Tonight is definitely a time to pawty instead of worrying, as well as giving all our beans an evening's peace. ~Luna and Roxi
