04/04/20 Apple AMPS 421 - Higher Dose Yielding Higher Numbers?

Just a couple suggestions. First, time for an increase to 2.0. Not sure why you don't want to go there. Other than the one green, all his nadirs have been mid blues. Second, I'd make sure I got a before bed test each and every night. This morning's red makes me wonder where he got to last night.

Hi-It's not that we don't want to go there, but increasing to back where we started .. we had to find out if that was the proper route to take. Having read about too much insulin and the overdosing..we needed to find out if it's o.k.

I'm sorry, I don't understand what you mean. If you test enough to know how low the dose is taking the cat, and you increase by safe amounts per the protocol, then you aren't overdosed. If Apple decides it's too much insulin, he'll tell you by dropping below the reduction point.

Can you explain "dropping below the reduction point"

Since you are following Tight Regulation and Apple is considered a newly diagnosed diabetic, it means going below 50.

I agree with Wendy. I think you need to increase the dose. There have been a couple of dose reductions that were not based on Apple dropping below 50. It's probably why this dose isn't really doing what you want.

Were you using a pet meter or have you been using the Relion since you started?
