4/1 Yoyo AMPS 154, +2 80,

Hi Debra! Define well mentally ! LOL

YoYo is looking good. Let’s kill the Blues and stay all green !
Thanks Bobbie....I believe I'm the one who raises his BG....when he gets too low I feed LC or HC food depending on the hour so that his "PS" is not too low to shoot.
I am not comfortable shooting low numbers in the 50's and 60's. I never took his full allowed reduction when he had
"3 below 50's" a couple of weeks ago, so I was thinking of taking another small reduction. Any thoughts on this?
(I have been giving HC to keep him safe and I think I have been doing this a lot so that is why I was thinking of reducing a little more - to 1.50 units).

Praying that you and your family are all doing well:bighug:

Hi Deb, maybe before you give another reduction since you didn’t give a full one a few weeks back , try not to give HC when he is in the 50s and 60’s rather give a little LC and see how that brings him up. Of course if it’s early in the cycle and you need to slow him down ( like +2,3,4,5 ) after popping a lower number , then maybe a little HC would be a good idea. Otherwise, go with lower carb and recheck in 20 -30 minutes depending on how low the number is.

Remember, as long as you can monitor , you are in control.

A couple times I see you have shot the 50's and 60's, but skinnied the dose. Both times you got a +1 - well done! And both times he was up about 30 points by +1. Remember that the insulin doesn't take effect until a couple hours after the shot and he will rise after preshot due to his meal and the natural fading of the insulin action. Next time you can shoot a 60's, try it.

As for what he did almost a month ago, that's ancient history now. Just look back a couple weeks when figuring out what to do next.

Thank you Wendy....I wish I really knew my cat....yes, sometimes he does go up at +1, but tonight he went down approx 20 points @+1.5....he always has me guessing. Gonna be a busy night:eek:
