This might be a bit too low for my comfort ... but based on the last cpl days.. he does seem to be going up in the evening...

I can monitor but this seems quite low... I will usually give shot in like 7 mins... but I'll stall 20-30 and retest ... see where he's at

SHould i shoot full dose ???

You shot a 148 yesterday and it only took Romane into the yellows.
136 is not that much lower.
Do you have plenty of test strips and high carb food and honey/Karo?
Are you willing and able to stay up all cycle if necessary to monitor?
 
If you are not comfortable giving the full dose, you can give a reduced dose, but remember the insulin doesn't kick in until +2 so you have time to bring the BG up a bit higher with his meal.

Should I give half dose?? I’m already 45min past time.
I do have all the supplies but as many alarms as I set throughout the night to check him I sleep through them or turn them off and don’t realize!
 
What ever you shoot, you will need to test for the first half of the cycle anyway...can you do that?
You hold the syringe and your need to be comfortable with whatever you shoot.
I think you could give more than half the dose. What about 6.5?

Yah I can do that... I’ll give 6.5.... and will monitor I just but anxious! And hope my efforts aren’t going to backfire!

Sounds good... I did only give 6.5 tonight.. and yes I will monitor him... I'll get the next 1-5 hours for sure then I will set alarms..

I'm sure he'll be great! as he has been this is just new and exciting and scary all at the same time.

I'm going to bake so that will keep me busy!

I’ll be up for prob another hour I can check +3 which’s is right away or should I just check +4 +6 +8 etc? I’ll set my alarms for the night. I’ll get my fiancé to Set alarms too so he can try to wake me up too.

Good day - so I should have given the full dose last night I think. He's bit higher today than the last few days... haven't checked a lot but just did his +6 and 16.5....

Is there a reason why his nadirs seem to be so late in the cycle?

I think i'm going to have to get used to shooting lower #'s in order to keep him low...
 
You've gathered valuable data for next time you see a lower preshot. It will make it easier to shoot that full dose.

Some cats are like that, some nadir earlier. Each cat is different. My Neko had later nadirs. Which meant I also got comfortable with shooting lower numbers.
