3/17 Zoot! OTJ Trial Day 4 - AMBG=52; PMBG=62 Go! Zoot! Go!

You don't have to worry about low numbers if he's not on insulin. Some cats have normal BG numbers in the 30s and 40s that are not diabetic. You don't need to feed HC food.
Happy Day 4! :):):cat::cat:

Ah, thanks! Zoot! and I are not used to freedom from the TR protocol yet. Every hour or so, I think "Should I test him?" and summon up the courage to let it pass and trust his pancreas do its work.

Way to go Zoot! I would love to see those lower number off insulin. Bubba is just about always in the low 80’s OTJ.

Keep up the good work, Zoot!
Maybe low 80's is just his range? Is he an active kitty (Zoot! is pretty sedentary)? What % carb food do you give him (Zoot gets 8% carb)? Not like I know anything but just curious :-).

I agree, Bubba runs higher. He is not that active. Maybe when it’s warmer he will become more active am outside , but right now he goes out and is back inside within a 1/2 hour.

He is on zero carbs. Raw turkey, poached salmon, and venison. I am going to experiment and give him some carbs to see what happens, around 4%. Some kitties do better on a higher amount.

Yeah - Zoot! was allergic to the chicken food we were giving him (4% carb), and when we switched to lamb, he took off into a much healthier path.
