Good morning,

I did manage to get a plus 11 this morning, 373. I'll continue to try for some even earlier.

Something rather amusing, just because ( ;) heehee ) the cat shelter/rescue that I volunteer with has a mouse infestation issue!  Sadly, it is just not safe to "release the hounds" and let the cats purposely catch and kill them, but oooooooh the irony! Ha!

Have a good week all, stay safe out there! :bighug:

I've found with Furball getting up earlier to get a +10ish test helps me know what to do at AMPS time. I can't imagine not doing it. I hope Jonesy slides down and surfs today.

We have our follow up appt with the vet, AND, at the same time I'm taking the other guy (Vinnie) who hates Jonesy in at the same time. I have to bring them in at the same time as it is the only time I can see the vet. But I'll have one in the front seat, one in the back, both covered up. Sigh . . .

Vinnie has immense aggression towards Jonesy and although he's been on Prozac for about 8 months, it has done nothing for his aggression :banghead: I need to see if there is anything else we can try.

Don't worry, they are kept 100% separate, but I'm moving into an even smaller house. I really need to get Vinnie to chill. I'm hoping the move itself shakes him out of this . . . and yes, I've tried ALL THE DIFFERENT socialization practices. I'll start them over again in the new house. Right now I simply don't have the mental energy to deal with it :(

Your shelter needs Bubba (@Bobbie And Bubba ). He is the mouse master.

Maybe when you move, and they both go in new house together and explore, it will help. No one can claim it as their territory so boundaries won't be established.
Yes, I've got my fingers crossed that will help! Vinnie will actually be staying at a "cat spa" for three nights during the move. Fiona (my old house panther) and Jonesy will be with me in a pet friendly hotel. I feel badly that I'm ostracizing poor Vinnie, but better one at a spa than my trying to herd them all in a hotel room, one being locked in the bathroom the whole time :(

Off topic, Jonesy's follow up visit went GREAT!! The doc says he's healed up beautifully, he's even lost a little weight as he's playing more now! He's still on his antibiotic for another three weeks, to REALLY ENSURE that jaw infection is wiped out! The vet was really pleased . . happy bean here! LOL

He did say that Vinnie is in fantastic shape, but we have "upped" his prozac to three a day. Not ideal, but maybe once we're in the house, I can work on the socialization and get him off the RX altogether *fingers crossed*

Wonder if when you move into the new house if Jonsey and Fiona get established there first if it would establish Jonsey as the Alfa cat and make Vinnie be more docile .
It must be nerve racking for you and doesn’t help Jonsey’s stress level.

Sending “ get along “ vines to your new abode !
