Did fine with his test and injection. His ear seems tender yesterday and today though and he wasn't pleased with his shot today even though he let me give it.
Surprised to see the blue PS especially when his +8 was 87, didn't expect it to rise to the 100s. Still good numbers though.
The cyst on his lip is looking a bit worse, I'm glad I noticed it before his appointment the other day so it could be checked. I may call the vet today rather than wait for them to call me tomorrow that way I can maybe get some questions answered so I'm not frazzled the morning of his surgery.
I haven't been sleeping well and it's been taking me longer to fall asleep than usual even though it takes me forever in the first place normally. I'm guessing it's anxiety from worrying about Thomas' surgery, I don't like when I get 2 different answers from a vet and vet tech. I also don't like when I don't get to have a discussion with the surgeon before surgery.
I like planning and that doesn't leave me much room to make a proper plan when I'm told different things. Just makes me confused. I doubt the front desk will be able to give me the answers I'm wanting unless a vet tech answers the phone instead. We shall see.
Hope everyone has a good Tuesday.:)

So not comforting to get different answers and not be able to speak to the surgeon. You still have a couple of days, I hope you can speak to someone that will make you feel more confident about Thomas's surgery. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

My alarm didn't go off again making me miss feeding the cats by 2 hours. I bet Thomas wouldn't have dropped so low if he got his lunch on time, I'm so disappointed in myself that I slept this whole time while he was getting low. Need to get my sleep schedule fixed so this doesn't have to be an issue.
Really upset that my alarms aren't going off a lot of the time. What if that alarm was for work, stupid phone. Just glad Thomas isn't showing any hypo signs. Gave him a big meal of low carb with a good tablespoon of HC with it. I'll recheck in 20 minutes to see if he's rising. Going to reduce to 1 unit.

Good catch in the 45. Tricky little guy heading up before going down! Good luck with the reduction.

Before Neko went under anesthesia, I used to ask the front desk staff to double check with the vet, cause invariably what they told me was wrong. And every time, remind thrm about the diabetes.

Will do, thank you.

Didn't find the time to call the vet today. Need to write down my questions first anyway, will call them in the morning tomorrow if they don't call me first. Still nervous about his surgery, I know he needs it though. The cyst on his lip is growing, I wonder what caused it.
Hope everyone is doing well.

I was writing surgery questions for in the morning this evening. I should ask about cat sunscreen too to put on his ears and face for the future, hoping to prevent skin cancer in the future. I've also been looking at window tints that are safe for double paned windows.
