Good morning!
Well it's coming up on two months since I had to say goodbye to my Boomer; it seems like such a very long time since I held my little boy.

I still glance into the spare bedroom frequently because that was where he hung out for most of the day. I miss feeling him lay beside me at night. And there are times when it's on the tip of my tongue to call out "Boomer, we're home" when we walk in the door. I miss him so much!
I'm keeping busy with my photography and we're getting ready to go on our first vacation in 4 years.....in 7 big sleeps we're off to Mexico. Looking forward to seeing some different wildlife there! Meanwhile, this weekend we're having DH's son and his family over for dinner.... son turns 40 on Saturday. And on Sunday afternoon we're having my family along with my ex and his current wife over for cake & coffee to celebrate my oldest granddaughter's 16th birthday which happens on March 17. Can't believe she's 16!!!!
Spring has sprung in Southwestern Ontario!!! The weather has been beautiful...well until today's rain
. I've been dragging DH out with me to go on road trips so on Sunday we drove about 45 minutes outside of London to see the Tundra Swans that are migrating through this area and yesterday we went to The Pinery Provincial Park on Lake Huron.....there was a specific bird (Tufted Titmouse) that hangs out there that I had only ever seen once and wasn't able to photograph previously.
Remember last spring when I was so frustrated that I couldn't find a Pileated Woodpecker to save my life? Well, I've already seen our resident Pileated 3 times and his mate was with him the first time!!!! And I must admit there was a certain satisfaction of being the first of the photographers in this area to see the Pileated
This weeks photos......the male Pileated Woodpecker and one of the male and female, a Red-Bellied Woodpecker, a Black-capped Chickadee with a Downy Woodpecker, and the Tufted Titmouse!
Thanks for looking!!
