Good morning!!!
It's rainy here today but milder temperatures forecasted for this week YAY! The birds have started their migrations; most won't reach here until April/May but about a week ago the Red-Winged Blackbirds came back. They're always the first to show up and the last to leave! The Mute Swans are also migrating through this area. And the cardinals are singing everywhere I go! I still have a pair of Northern Cardinals that come to my backyard for seed and peanuts a few times a day. I've also had 3 Blue Jays that like the peanuts. Of course several Common Sparrows visit my yard as well as some Dark-Eyed Juncos (they will be migrating soon). And I love the occasional visits from the Chickadees and Nuthatches and lately they've been bringing a pair of Carolina Wrens with them! I finally got a photo of one yesterday when it stopped at my birdbath for a drink!
Photos for this week include a landscape/waterscape taken at Long Point, Sandhill Cranes and Redheaded Ducks (both taken at Long Point), a Red-Winged Blackbird (taken nearby at Saunders Pond), a Cooper's Hawk (taken last spring) and a Carolina Wren (taken in my backyard yesterday).
As always, thank you for your interest in my photography!
