He was hungry so he fought me just barely, still one poke and done at least. Ate well, hated the injection again but I was able to give it without him walking off on me thankfully.
I did smell a little insulin though so I listed it as FS on my SS, although I'm pretty sure it's just remnants from the insulin that was squirted out as I adjusted my dose. I can always see my needle enter the skin so it's unlikely that I ever have a FS but you never know.
Still high numbers, let's see where we go today. I can increase either tomorrow if nothing comes up or Monday, another long held dose.
I decided it'd be easiest for me to make a new SS for every month, more organized anyway. I was also thinking of listing the newest date at the top. Ex. instead of dates 1-30 up and down it's 30-1 up and down. It would make it easier to view for myself and others in my opinion but if anyone thinks it'll make it confusing for them I won't.
Thomas played just a minute this morning with his pom poms but at least it's showing me he's wanting to play with his toys again.
Hope everyone is having a good morning.:)

Hi Brittany, if you make a new SS each month, we won’t be able to look back at all to previous readings and doses without going in and out of various SS which would be too time consuming for us as we have to look at many SS when we give advice.
Also if you put the newest readings at the top, it will be too confusing. Some people have tried that and had to change it back to the way we all do it. .
Better to leave things as they are.

I'm glad Thomas is playing. I hope he slides down today. I agree with Bron on making changes to the SS. It's difficult to have to hop back and forth between SS when looking for patterns to give dose advice.

That's a good sign that Thomas is showing interest in playing, you're doing a great job, hang in there, it will get better!!
Have a great day Britanny!! :)

I do hope you'll reconsider the monthly SS idea...too difficult to look back over the entire history - sometimes we're in a hurry...and I would probably assume that you've only been here for a month...just saying that no one else does it that way...so as Bron mentioned above may be best to leave things as they are.

I'm wondering if the insulin you keep mentioning that you're smelling is indeed only from readjusting the amount in the syringe? If you don't feel any wetness around the injection site, it's most likely not a FS...I understand that we can't ever be really 100% certain when that happens...but if there's any possibility of a FS...we don't shoot again...under any circumstances...perhaps you could do your insulin adjusting in another area from where you're shooting so as to remove any aroma from near where you're giving Thomas his injection.

Just a suggestion. Have a great day Brittany!

I'm aware not to shoot again. I do it in a separate area already. I smell it on on the fur not in my general area. Thanks.

In my opinion a years worth of information on a SS is way too much. That's so much scrolling, it's difficult sometimes having to scroll over 365 columns to see what you're looking for.
Wouldn't changing to a new one at least every 3 months (quarterly) be easier? I can understand maybe not every month since that's only a small chunk of info and it would be annoying having to click through every month's data.
I'll figure out a way to organize it so it doesn't drive me crazy at least.

Easy +6 test, 75. Surprised but glad to see a green. Gave him a poke break this morning so no +3. Will probably get a +9 to see how he's rising.

You could always leave a gap maybe in between the months? So it separates the numbers and colors a bit.....? +11 might tell you more closer to shot time today than a +9 - maybe ...
He looks good :)
Nice numbers . Those AM preshots usually take longer to fall in line :)

Oh, I know I can separate the months but that much scrolling is just too much in my opinion. Almost every single time I try to view someone's SS it freezes my phone. That's when it opens in a webpage rather than the app, on my phone I'm meaning.
Just wanted to see if he's staying flat or rising after nadir. I gave him LC FF that's only 1% carbs so I hope that's helping him to stay flat rather than rising from carb sensitivity from his food like Friskies which is 4%-6%. I'm doing a +10 instead.

Grabbed +10 while he was napping, all went well. Played with him for about an hour with his pom poms and a string until he'd had enough.
PMPS went fine, even his injection went well. Good appetite, ate most of his dinner. He's done a good job today.
I did start vacuuming shortly after his +10. I wonder if that may have contributed to the higher PMPS.
