Morning,

We're counting down the days until Jonesy's dental (next tuesday). I'm praying that it will make a big difference re how he's feeling in general, and his numbers.

But until then, I'm increasing his dose by .25 this morning, plus I'll give him more sub-q fluids. I find right now, every other day fluids are helping him.

Have a great day everyone :D

He slid down a teeny bit, I'm happy with it. The lowest number I've seen in three days! I hope they continue to slide down slooooooowly ;)

Well, he's not working "the juice" too hard ;) but the antibiotics appear to be kicking in! His ears have been warm for some time, and I know that can indicate stress, or illness. As I know he's got dental issues, I'm THRILLED that they may be reducing the infection in his mouth.

Hoping for cool ears and safe low numbers when I wake up ;)

Hey Darcy,
Before Freckles' dental I posted for advice to this forum and read the dental sticky. I was offered some "do's and don'ts" and some "maybe's". It allowed me to have the supplies on hand in case Freckles had diarrhea or heaven forbid - didn't want to eat. Plus I posted what my vet wanted to do regarding insulin amounts, eating schedule, antibiotics, probiotics etc. Plus I received tips on making her stay at the vets less stressful. I found I was much more prepared and confident in how the day would go.

I also made a paper collar for Freckles and wrote DIABETIC on it... I didn't want any "Oops, we forgot to check her" scenarios.

WOW!!! Thank you SO much Judy!!

Honestly, I'm so overwhelmed with all that's going on with the house sale (bartering over possession dates now :( ) that I'd not thought about REALLY planning out for his dental.

Thank you so much!

Good luck with the new dose Darcy. Also, I hope Jonesy's dental does for him what it did for Sandy's Black Kitty, wouldn't that be amazing??!!
