hi everyone, I tested Hendrix a little bit before his shot time to see how his BG is doing, it was 131@+11 so I waited 30 mins without food and it was 130@+11.5.

I will stall without food again and retest in 30mins.

@Bron and Sheba (GA) Hi bron, sorry to bug you. Do you think I should have shot the 130 or should I stall and retest in 30 without food? I just don’t want to stall all night and get his times off track again if it’s going down on him (I wish it was going up, not down) and I’m nervous about shooting 130 and he goes super low in the night. I’m a bit confused at the moment:eek:

You aren’t bugging me:)
You shot a 133 this morning so I would go ahead and shoot the 130.
As long as you can monitor all the cycle if needed, you should be fine. You have high carb and honey is needed.. yes?
And plenty of strips?

You shot a 133 this AM , any reason you are nervous now? You seem to have data that shows you how he's been doing. Do you have food and supplies to test overnight?

I think my brain just can’t think because I’m tired and okay I will retest in ten because that will be the 30mins. Hopefully it didn’t drop lower but yes I knew I should have just shot the 130 you’re right I shot 133 this morning and he was fine. *slaps forehead* I have four cans of HC, corn syrup and a 1 1/2 bottle of strips! :)

Yes you’re right!! I should have just shot the 130 I feel so silly. It’s just lack of sleep and I get all flustered or confused LOL. I have lots of supplies to monitor him overnight but with that 133 this morning he did great all day so I don’t know what I was so worried about I think it’s because my brain still thinks “I’ve never shot under 150 usually” but I have now and he’s did great so I need to get over those fears. I’m going to retest him now, if it is still 130 I will give him food and his shot! :p

He’s now at 128. So I feed and shoot and just monitor throughout the night? I’m not sure as to why it’s going down and not up

You aren’t silly at all. Just sleep deprived with a big L (for learner) on your forehead. We all started there.
We’ll take the L down soon! :joyful:
