We had a long, stressful day. Makoto didn't want his +2 snack and then refused his lunch +5. I offered him baby food a little while later and he looked nauseous ( licking his lips) and started to shiver ( noticeable only while I was holding him). He then tried to hide and was crouching like his stomach hurt. I gave him a few hours with food available, but once he BG started climbing and he regurgitated- we went to the E.R since I would be working overnight. Cerenia and subq fluids, labs- no ketones or elevated enzymes. Dehydrated and really P.O'd his PMPS was as manageable, so I used the (396) and labwork values from 6ish and gave his PM shot after he ate a few small meals around the usual +1 time ( 8PM ). His appetite seems to be returning, +4 BG was harder to get since he was still irritated from being handled at the vet. They used both back legs to get blood and I used paw pads so, I got (37) on some fluid on a tiny sample that took a while to get and the (76) when I rechecked. I gave him MC gravy and some broiled chicken. Feeder is set to offer more MC gravy and chicken at +5 since I ran to work.:(

long post - sorry

That sounds very stressful but it sounds like you did the right thing and I’m glad things are looking better

Thank you. He's usually a great eater so...I immediately freaked out. I am wondering about this dose, but not sure I can trust the PM numbers I got since my samples were not great. I will try and get better BG testing samples tomorrow during the day and then Wednesday overnight.
