I switched Scratches food from FF pate seafood variety and beef and poultry variety (0-3 carbs) to FF Roasted/Flaked/Chunky (a few different flavors all 4-6 carbs) as advised. We started this switch last night and Scratches LOVES IT. She's really a funny girl. She's still on .1 for a couple more days until the higher carb food sets in. Then it's looking like she will need a bit of an increase. I will check back in tomorrow and update her progress. I am so depressed she went from having absolutely GREAT numbers and now we're back to square one. But you all were right, she was getting dose decreases too quickly so i'm hoping with this food change and a bit of a dose increase, her sugar will start to go down and stay down this time. Now that I know she is very capable of maintaining good numbers, i'm hoping this little bit of a diet change will steer her back in the right direction. I will update again before I increase so I know how much to increase and when. I don't like to do anything without asking here first.

UPDATE: Vet appt tomorow morning to run some tests. Better to be safe than sorry.

Looks like Scratches is getting ready for an increase - since you're on TR, you can increase after 6 cycles on the same dose. Are you in a position to increase this evening? It looks like Scratches could sure use it.

Good luck tomorrow with the vet.

Yes. We changed her food last night to a bit higher carb so I can give her more insulin without back to back dose reductions too quickly (hopefully) so I was giving it a couple days for the new food to get into her system before I do the increase. I will wait until tmr evening to increase because of everything with the vet in the morning. Thank you! I'm hoping everything is okay with her, she's just been acting sluggish and not herself and with the sugar spike like this I figured I better get her looked at just to be safe.
