Help. My kitties BG is at 8.2 right now do I stall and not give him his shot!? He was at 9.9 at 4:34am this morning. Then at 11:06am his BG went to 8.2.....I fed him thinking it was okay for his shot (I didn’t give him his shot yet) but he has been fed. Do I wait 30 mins then retest????

You can re-test in 30 minutes. Having fed, there might be some food bump, which will make it a little harder to interpret, but it will give you some idea of which direction he's headed right now. That 8.2 isn't too much lower than numbers you've already shot, but it would be nice to have some idea of what you might be getting yourself into.

Can you monitor all day today? Are you well-supplied with strips, HC food, etc. just in case?

I fed him at 11:06 and retest at 11:26am because it takes me a bit to retest him as he hassle me sometimes and it is now 9.9 I hope it’s not food influenced

Yes I am able to monitor all day I’m home all day everyday. And I fed him at 11:06am and retested him at 11:29am and it was at 9.9. Should I wait another 30 mins and retest again? I have corn syrup and high carb food on hand as well if needed later

There might be some food influence, but it's up by a pretty whopping amount, so unless you fed him HC this morning, I think he's on the way up now.

I think you can shoot, if you are comfortable doing so and can monitor today (just in case).

I fed him fancy feast classics chicken flavour for breakfast. I will shoot I guess but I will being keeping an eye on him like a hawk today. Is it okay to feed him a small amount after his shot or no? I just don’t want to go through what I went through when his numbers were 4.1 the one day. Scared the life out of me.

Whoops, sorry, I shouldn't have said that (overcompensated for the World numbers), but I still think you'll be OK to shoot. Especially because that bump up came 20 minutes after the meal-- that's fast for a food bump, so it's probably largely a natural rise.
Can I feed him a small amount after his shot or no? Then do I wait 1 hour and retest him? I just don’t want to go through what I went through when his numbers where 4.1 that one day it scared the life out of me.

Go ahead, a bit of extra noms can sometimes help, just don't over-stuff him this morning. We want to make sure that, if you do get into a situation where you need him to eat some HC, he'll still be willing!

Okay I gave him his shot and fed him a teaspoon of food, if that. I surely appreciate your help it means so much. I will make sure to keep you updated !! I will retest in 1-2 hours from now
