Reduce to 0.75 or stick to 1?

Yesterday she was 88 at AMPS, I shot 1 unit and stayed up all night testing almost every hour, and feeding every 1-2 hours. She dropped to 52 at her lowest but it might have been lower if she wasn't full of food. The food we give is between 3-5% carbs.

Does she earn a reduction or should we stick to 1 unit?

whether or not you need to decrease dose depends on the dosing method you’re currently following. If you’re on TR then Kitty didn’t qualify for a reduction but if you’re following SLGS then she definitely did.

it looks like you’re following TR, in TR you would decrease if you go below 50 whether Kitty has eaten or not. Many members actually feed their cats during the cycle so that they don’t go to low and in order to prevent an early reduction.

Did Kitty ever have have dry food? I've seen this kind of drop when people eliminate all dry food.

To me Kitty is still a teenager. I've had some live over 20 years & one to 24!

She has not had any dry food since she was first diagnosed in November 2018, we free feed wet food for all of the cats but kitty likes to be fed on her own.

Thank you, we stuck to 1 unit. Hopefully, soon she will earn a reduction.
 
Hi Auden! I don’t think I have ever posted on your thread before.

Glad you held the dose as she did some bouncing today. And those were nice safe greens she gave you last night. Sorry it was an all nighter for you.

Hopefully, she’ll break the bounce soon and start hanging in safe greens longer. When that happens, the cycle flattened out.
