1-9-20(Yesterday) Good morning!:coffee::coffee::coffee: I hope everyone has a beautiful day! Kitties be good and surf safely!
So, Moey got his reduction this morning. Hopefully this one sticks. Bad fur mom for not steering him better this morning:oops: Still learning Moey's nuances or lack of them sometimes:rolleyes:

Original thread posted 2:16am: I figured I'd go ahead and post now to give time for suggestions. I'll change my condo at AMPS to reflect current info.
So Moey hit 37 which calls for a reduction. The question is do we take the full .25 or shave the dose. He is currently on 1u. He was on .75u(after a reduction) for almost a month. He held the dose ok...saw very few green PS however. We had to increase New years eve(fattened to .8u) and again 3 days later to the full 1u. So, I'm not sure if the .75u qualifies as not holding the reduction well. Hope that makes sense:facepalm: it's late!

Shave the dose or take the full reduction? TIA!:):cat:

I see that Moey was on the decline last night at PMPS - and then again at 1.25 - that was your 'sign' to be extra vigilant - that boy was headed out to see the sharkies - too bad you didn't catch him in the act - I have had the same experience with Luci many times - and I had to really watch her when she was in a slide at shot time - and in her case, as I learned...it was a 'sign' for me to give her some MC, test again and maybe more MC if she's still sliding....he 'gotcha' last night...now you'll need to DEcrease - but it's only for a few days - if he shows you that he wasn't really serious you can take the dose back up - just gotta give him a little time to sort it out now - that's the tricky thing about all this, we never know when that pancreas is going to kick in and start making it's own insulin...

Hoping that your day goes well...and that you got some more sleep after being up in the wee hours of this morning :)

I should have known better. I did give him that homemade chicken @1.25 thinking it would bump him. Judging by his reaction to that food during the day cycle, I assumed the Tsp(LOL!!!) would be enough to nudge him the other way w/o artificially inflating his #s too much. LOL!!!!!:blackeye: What the heck do I know. LOL!!!! Still learning:bookworm: as always. Boy, Moey knocked this one outta the park on me. Moey-10, Briere-0.
Thank goodness were giving the Weruva a try today. The ability to carb him might get easier with this food. Dr. Elsey's gave little to no "food advantage".
Anywho thanks sooo much for the advice and we'll take the full reduction:bighug: Time for more:coffee:

Briere, your logic made sense! These kitties do not play by the rules though, as soon as you think you've got a good plan, they like to mess with you so they can show you who's actually in the driver's seat!!
Be a good kitty Moey, surf safe!!! Congrats on the reducie!!
Have a great day Briere!
