ok so this morning I lowered Marcus's dose from 1.25 to 1.00 after talking here I realized I shouldn't have now its time for his next shot .. DO I GIVE 1.25 OR 1.00 PLEASE HELP.

Marcus looks pretty good. Are you afraid he will go low? You shot 1 unit this morning a number that is essentially the same.

If you're concerned, I would test again in 15 minutes and see if his number is rising.

But yes, since you're doing TR, you could continue with the 1.25 unit dose since that was giving Marcus some nice greens. You've been getting some great numbers since the new year though!

Yes I agree 1.25 units.
Try and get a couple of tests in during each cycle to see how low the dose is taking him. If he drops under 68 he earns a reduction in dose.

The night numbers worry me.. He seems go go much lower at night. I did give him the 1.25 but as you can see during the night he dips very low.

Cats often go lower at night. That is why it is important to test during the pm cycle.
Marcus has earned a reduction in dose with that 41 down to 1 unit.
Have you fed him some higher carb food to bring him up. I see he has dropped back to 64 from 72?

I did give him the 1.0 I am working until 5:00 today and wont be able to test until shot time. I fed him with his shot, gave him 1.0. Last night I gave him extra food and some honey to bring him up. I am so proud of him. He is a much happier kitty, purrs more, more energy. Gets fussy with his food. Wet food moves around and he gets mad when it slides to the side of the bowl, and won't eat it unless I move it back to the middle. Such a weirdo. But at least he is EATING the canned. I am leaving food out for him today as well so he can have his 2:00 snack.

I am glad you reduced the dose this am.
It might be worth buying a timed feeder so you can give him a couple of food snacks while you are at work each day.

Next time you get a low number like you did in the pm cycle, always keep testing until you are sure the BG will stay up. Honey wears off after about an hour and a half and the BG can drop again. Keep testing until you have two numbers that are rising without the influence of food.

Part of the reason Marcus may not want to eat his food if it's at the side of the bowl is that the bowl is brushing against his whiskers. You might want to try a bowl with lower sides or a plate. Some cats are very sensitive to having their whiskers brush agains something.
