Yesterday. Caber Yr 2 Day 89

OM we are having a spring day here. Close to 50. Not a cloud in the sky. Although there is a big glaring ball up there.

Ollie and PJ enjoying the sun beams. And PJ watching the birds at the sliders. I have to get the feeders refilled.

Made Ollie's appt for kidney panel later this month.

See if I can get different cat food. Yes still looking for low phos foods. Want a few cans before getting whole cases. None of them like the Wellness or the Bistro. Ollie does like the ProPlan Focus Beef and Chicken which is 218 phos. At least it's better than the 300 and 400s that most are.

Gotta get banking done that I didn't before New Years.

This week and next week I am working Friday and Saturday all day.

Warming right up here - 83 now - humidity is increasing - yesterday was cool and dry...today more typically like Florida - sunny afternoon!

Enjoy your Spring respite from winter :)

I hope Ollie is being a good girl...looks like she's gone to be with Luci in the lemon tree...

Not much choice for low phos food that they will eat !!! If Ollie likes ProPlan, you're lucky!! At least 200 is a lot better than 400!
Have fun with your banking!

Hi, Paula and happy new year!
Have you looked at Rawz or Holistic Select? The turkey kind in these brands seem to be what Bella, Dancer and Spunky are gravitating to lately in the canned foods department. Each are kinda $ but I often mix it 1/2 and 1/2 and that saves a bit of $.
I can send you a can of each to try if you’d like.

holistic select is available on Chewy. The Rawz seems only to be available in some pet food stores.

Idk if either are in the low carb low phos range that you’re looking for. the holistic select is in dr Pierson’s food chart (I tried to copy/paste but no go); the Rawz isn’t far as I could tell from looking at her chart on tiny screen, lol.

Hope this helps
❤️

Hi Sina,

So sweet to offer. Don't have Rawz here. Only have PetSmart and Pet Supply Plus now. Both have changed their inventory big time. I need to find something all the kitties will eat consistently the most before I order by the case. It also seems my kitties prefer beef. None like turkey or liver. Chicken if they feel like it. Novel ones not really. Tux didn't like home made.

Earlier Ollie was laying by kitchen door, unusual for her.I

Then she lays with one foot on me, face not looking alert. She leaves. Thinking she was in kitchen looking to eat, nope. I go looking for her. Found laying in doorway of spare room in puddle of urine. BG not out of the norm for her. I don't know if she didn't make it to litter box (one in that roon), fell over or what.

Playpen set up and she is in that for the night. See how she is in morning. If need be I will call and get her appt moved up. She still has this weird head twitch if I put food bowl in front of her to loud. I've been careful, making sure I put on carpet or paper towel but sometimes I forget the towel. Doesn't happen as often now. But also and I don't know if it's my imagination or not, sometimes it looks like she doesn't know where she is. Just sits and has a blank look on her face.

Have you tried FF Roasted Chicken Feast? Phos. is 284. But I think the best thing about it is that it has very good ratios of protein, fat and carbs. And Gus likes it.

Sorry that Ollie is under the weather. Lots of vines on the way!

My guy likes the Soulistic chicken (phos 150s)...but I think that might be a Petco thing, since I couldn't order the Soulistic on Chewy either, but they do ship as well. I did buy some of the Halo Rabbit pate from Chewy to try - I think the phos. is 210 so we are going to try that too. He is starting to get a little tired of chicken everything I think but he will eat just about any Tiki cat dark series...chicken and duck or chicken and beef are his favs

When was the first time this happened? Any new meds ?
Hope Ollie feels better! :(:(

That head twitch and losing control of her bladder is a little concerning. I am not sure how common focal seizures are in cats, but she sounds a bit off balance. Could you move her appointment up and maybe video the head movements so the vet can see them ?
Hope it is nothing and she feels better soon ! Sorry she is not herself.

Twitch has been on and off for about a week. First time for bladder and I don't know what that was about. Trying to tape it, it's so short and minor now it's hard to catch it.

No new meds. Actually a little less glandex and husk because she is walking away from her food that has it, so I put very little in, but more often now. Twitch has been on and off about 1-1.5 weeks now.
