Morning was very normal until.... I tested him at +6 (almost didn't because he was higher than AMPS at +3), and he's at 62!
He's doing great, chilling on the couch and purring. I wouldn't have expected that.

I did not exactly panic, but still gave him a mix of LC and MC for lunch.
I will test again in an hour at +7.
Glad they cancelled on me at work today!

Yes, it's the Nova max, not Alphatrak. I don't know how to change my spreadsheet!
Sorry for my ignorance...the Nova max is a human meter? If it's a human meter than the 62 isn't bad. In fact that's a beautiful #. With it being a +6 reading...in theory Macka is 1/2 way through the cycle. #s should be on the way up. Get some tests just to be sure Macka is finished dropping and for data. The more data the better. That was a considerable drop in 3 hours so, Macka may bounce later. JMO.

ETA: You replied as I was typing. NVM, you have things well in hand:)

+6.5 = 81 (phewwww, okay, no dangerous slide)
I wonder if it's food related (after 25 minutes feeding him) or if BG was bound to go up anyway.
The 81 can be food related. When steering a low # we test 30mins after feeding. Or the cycle may be in the waning process...#s could be increasing due to that.

Nice numbers.
How much MC was involved? and what percentage carb (roughly)? That definitely could have an influence on the rising number and/or he is starting to rise on his own.

Over 50, you try to keep the cat surfing the healing greens with just low carb unless it is early in the cycle.
It was a spoon of MC 12% with 1/2 can of LC (he did not finish the bowl).
I shouldn't have, but I felt nervous :/ still learning here ;)

You do what you feel comfortable with(that line of comfort gets a little blurry when shooting greens though...you'll see:rolleyes::smuggrin:). It's all a learning process, how much carbs and when. I'm still fine tuning with Moey. Trying not to under or over carb is practically a science...LOL! You'll get the hang of it when presented with the challenge frequently.;)
