Hello!

Long time no see! Many of you won't know me but I'm a long time member that always forgets to check in and post.

Gremlin is 17, has been diabetic for over 4 years, has renal disease, used to have hyperthyroidism, and recently had cancer removal. He's had three surgeries this year: January he had a partial thyroidectomy which cured his hyperthyroidism; July he had a tumour removed which was biopsied and found to be fibrosarcoma; November he had the leg amputated to remove the cancer. My baby is now happier than he's been in a couple of years, even though he's desperate to go outside again.

Anyway... I'm part of another group and some of the ladies are asking about home cooked food for their cats. One lady shared a not ideal recipe (has too much filler and NO ADDED NUTRIENTS) so I said I would find good ones to share so as to prevent diabetes and such. I'm struggling to find them though so if anyone could please share or link, I'd be very grateful!!

Also, any links to where to purchase the supplements that need to be added would be wonderful as well.
I'm in Australia but they are in America so US links are fine. Their babies are so little! I'd hate to see them get fed something terrible when I know I can find better options.

Thanks in advance for any help!
I'll go have a scroll to see who is still around that I know...

Love and good vines to you all! xx

Laura!!

Great to hear from you and get an update on Gremlin. Gotta love those orange kitties!!

I've used TC-Complete in the past and currently use EZComplete. @Marje and Gracie did a good deal of research into the available pre-mixes and recommended EZComplete over the other available brands. I suspect directing the people on the other board to Dr. Lisa's site for general information on feline nutrition will be helpful. She talks about supplements and why they are important.

Thanks so much Sienne, and lovely to hear from you. I hope you're well!

Bron, today was our really hot day. Not catastrophic fire danger though. We had one of those a couple of weeks ago (code red) and lost power for most of the day. It was horrible. Hot, sunny and really windy. Wishing you a cool and safe day tomorrow!!
