You are correct. When Lilly dropped below 50 on 12/2., that's when the dose should have been reduced. Your dose at AMPS on 12/3 should have been 2.0u. Please reduce Lily's dose to 2.0u today.

With TR, for a cat that's within a year of diagnosis, any drop in numbers below 50 means you need to reduce the dose. You may want to print out the information on the TR Protocol so you can review when to reduce or increase the dose.
 
I have printed the protocol notes and bookmarked them on the computer. but I was told to come here with questions because I have trouble understanding and applying the rules to Lilly.

Her dose prior to earning the reduction was 2.5. I took the earned reduction to 2.25 on 12/3. Why would I reduce by 0.5 instead of .25?

I'm glad you're here with Lily!!! I hope you can get the advice you're seeking for sweet Lily. There's a lot of experienced peeps on the board that can help guide you.
I started my Lantus journey with 2 diabetic kitties.The FDMB is the only way I've made sense of our sugar dance. Just when you think you understand, something unexpected happens and then you get to add that to your list of experiences, Reading the different condos and SSs help to show different scenarios...ways of negotiating different events. They've put wrinkles in my ole' noggin anywho!:)
My apologies if you've already done this...excuse my ignorance but, have you started posting condos everyday? I know life gets in the way and it's not possible at times.
Posting daily condos helps everyone get to know Lily, and you of course. If these kitties could figure out how to type, they wouldn't need us at all:rolleyes:
If you have a concern/question and your condo is getting lost in the sea of condos...you could bump it up. I don't think that's something that's frowned upon.
You'll get the hang of this! Practice makes purrrfect! Keep asking questions...that's how you learn:bighug:

Oh, ok. Thanks for clarifying. I went with Sienne's advice and reduced to 2u today, so I guess I'll just hold that for the 6 cycles and then increase if needed.

I really wish I could. I am on the board browsing fairly often, I just don't comment a ton. Honestly I'm on the facebook groups all the time, though. Facebook is mobile friendly and the FDMB just isn't on my phone. I also have a hard time keeping up with the daily condos on the Lantus board. I work in prison and can't access the board for about 8-12 hours per day, and I literally only have a few hours in the evenings to do anything at all much less get on the forum every day.

But truly, thanks for your positivity and support. I really need that with this whole sugar dance. We all do sometimes. :bighug:

I know exactly what you mean! I used to spend a lot more time on here but then my work blocked the site :facepalm::oops: Now I find it a little challenging to keep up with everyone. Trust me though, there is not pressure here for you to know every member or post in anyones condo. We're just happy that you're here at all and that Lilly is in such capable and caring hands :)
