In march my niece is getting married what do yall do if you have to go out of town a few days ? Especially since hes dka ? Is a couple of days without hes insulin by march going to be ok for Salem ? I was thinking about taking him with me lol but lots of hotels dont allow it ? How come when i try to insert the emjois they go up to the beginning of what im saying instead of where i put the cursor ?

Oh Tina, the emoji and cursor thing made me laugh. I've had to re-click when on a tablet to put the cursor back where I wanted it. Works ok on my laptop though. I really hope you get lucky and find a hotel that will allow Salem to stay. I've had good luck in the past with a less expensive chain hotel -- I don't remember if it was a Days Inn or something like that. Many pet sitters won't give insulin or check BG - most don't actually. I've seen it mentioned here to check with vet techs to see if someone might help/ work on the side.

Give Salem a big hug:cat:

Ok, if you are a child, I am too! That's not a bad thing, LOL! I find myself doing the same thing. These cats aren't nearly as simple to care for or plan for, but they are our responsibilities and loves;) I seriously need to travel more; just lucky I haven't been forced to yet.

I find hotels that accept pets for our travels. Luci travels like a champ. She loves the hotel rooms too - all those 'smells'! I hope you can arrange to take him with you. I think cats are so much easier to travel with than dogs - everything is portable - disposable LB's, food, water, etc. Just gotta make sure he's got his collar on him with ID and no maid service - that 'do not disturb' sign works great...
